Synopsis - short dabble of Sadie's first mother's day

Mother's day

What a day to forget. 

What a day to not be in California. 

To not be at Sarah's grave with a cupcake or a bouquet of flowers in hand.

When she moved to New York, it was a whole life almost forgotten and abandoned.

Sadie couldn't stay there. Too many memories. Some good, some broken. So she packed what she could and came to the place of her birth with the help of Big mama. The spider yokai whom she deemed auntie.

The yokai gave her a home, a shop and what followed was unexpected… a family.

It wasn't long after coming here that she met the turtle boys (men now, she assumed) and found love with the eldest of the four.

With time, she had a daughter of her own, who now rested in the nested bed while she folded some clothes.

A small sneeze came from the baby, and Sadie reached to cover her. Smiling with love as the small one snuggled down.

Night was falling. Sadie checked the time on her phone, almost 8pm. Raphael would be returning any moment now.

Sadie stretched her arms above her head then collected the clothes in her arms to put them away. Leaving her daugher on the nested bed.

They had stayed in the lair while he was out patrolling. Jasmine had no problem going back and forth between homes.

Clothes now set away, Sadie headed outside. Peering one more time at her and closing the door. The lair was quiet. Leo had dipped out with Raph this afternoon. Donnie and Mikey… should be resting before they took their round.

Absolute peace and quiet.

Her eyes scanned the trains. Mikeys was pitch black, he was no doubt fast asleep. While Donnie's door was open. A violet light beamed around the cracks of the door leading to his lab, he was awake.

Splinter no doubt was on his chair, happily snoring away in front of his shows.

So imn sense, she was home alone. Still she smiled as she got herself some water.

"Did you see the look on that hippos face?? Like Wam bam thank you ma'am!!" Leos voice echoed with his usual excitement.

"I'm tellim ya bro!?! He wasn't expecting us at all!! Like shadows in the night!!" Raph veered in right after.

Sadie hopped onto the kitchen counter, listening to their conversation about the mission they had just finished. Lately it was rare they got alomg. Raph doing his best tk ease off the leader role he had held mantle to since they were kids and leo still trying to understand.

Not to mention Leo's obvious feelings towards Sadie. Its created tension.

As exoe ted when the two rounded the corner to enter the atrium towards the kitchen. Raph found her gaze first, and a smile wrapped his snaggletooth grin.

Leo held a smile, but she knew it was fake. Sadie didn't say anything as he gave her a wave and headed to his train car room

"Mission went well?" Sadie asked once the train door closed. Raph rolled his shoulder as he walked over to her. A gentle kiss was exchanged before he spoke.
