On one of the islands in the Land of Waves, the sunset painted the sky red, while birds soared through it to return to their nests in the trees near the beach. On the beach, enjoying the sunset, were Naruto and Sakura, the young couple who had come to enjoy their vacation in this place. They had made a bonfire where they cooked dinner.
The sound of the waves was pleasant to them, as night was almost falling. A few minutes later, dinner was ready. Sakura served Naruto the wild pork ramen they had caught the day before.
"This tastes exquisite," Naruto said.
"Don't thank me," Sakura replied jovially.
"I really shouldn't praise you so much, or you'll become conceited if this keeps happening," Naruto teased.
"Are you saying my cooking isn't worthy of your compliments?" Sakura retorted, playfully.
"I'm just joking," Naruto reassured her.
Later that night, both of them went into the sea to swim. Sakura could dive near the reefs while Naruto tried to catch a pufferfish to cook it the next day, as it was a challenge he had promised Iruka Sensei he would do.
The pufferfish was an exquisite delicacy, but dangerous to eat because it contained poison and could kill the diner if not prepared properly. Naruto spotted one, and Sakura helped him, holding the underwater light she had brought for the occasion.
With a harpoon, Naruto managed to catch a pufferfish. The fish would be the meal for the next morning. After the activity, both of them took off their clothes and started swimming naked. Underwater, they admired how the moonlight pierced through the water and illuminated it. In the depths of the reef, they could see how the corals reflected the light, creating a scene worthy of Okikurni.
After a while, both emerged from the water, returned to their tent, and slept.
The next morning, as Naruto ate the pufferfish cooked by his girlfriend, Sakura expressed her concern with an intrigued expression on her face.
"I really can't understand why you decided to do this. You could really die," Sakura said.
"I promised it to Iruka Sensei, and I also wanted to bring him part of the fish's skin as a memento. Besides, he's been busy taking care of it," Naruto replied.
"That idiot. Don't remind me of him, Shinji Umino," Sakura muttered.
"Please be patient. He hasn't adapted to our lifestyle yet," Naruto said.
"I know, but that doesn't change the fact that he sabotaged the syrups in the storage, and then we had to look for the herbs again. His actions caused delays in the medication of several people, and we had many complications," Sakura explained, her tone reflecting her frustration.
Sakura didn't have a good impression of Shinji. Shinji was a boy adopted by Iruka a couple of years ago. His hair was white, and his pupils were yellow. It also seemed that he grew a beard on his face, which was strange for the villagers.
"Let's drop the subject," Sakura said, embracing Naruto.
Naruto hugged her back. They were both standing in front of the sea, watching the horizon and the sun rising higher in the sky. Snuggled together, Naruto asked a question.
"Have you ever wondered what lies beyond the sea?"
Sakura ignored Naruto's question and proceeded to give him a tender kiss."
