It took her 10 minutes to get him off the ground, and another 20 to walk him home. She hoped and prayed no other trolls would cross their path and see clay and viva together..
Clay told Viva where he lived, and she walked him over there. Each minute, she asked him more questions about himself. More information. But she couldn't help but laugh at his 'fun boy' jokes and his very odd kindness towards her. Maybe the 'fun boy' thing wasn't all an act.
finally she traveled to the large pod in which he lived, seeing it in front of her from a short distance. Viva squinted and pointed to the pod,
"Is this your place?" She asked, but she already knew it was. I mean, it was the largest one there. He was pretty rich.
"Yuuuuuuup." Clay spoke, and turned to face her, "thank you."
"It's nothing."
"Wait— I wanna see you again." He grinned, "Please?"
"I-" say yes. Get closer. This was perfect the opportunity. "Yea— sure."
"You saved my life." Clay breathed, he promptly leaned in, and brushed his lips to her cheek. "Thank you."
"Y- yea.. it's.." she didn't even get a chance to fully reply or think, before John Dory rushed out of his home home and saw the two of them; princess viva, with his loopy brother leaning on her shoulder for support.
"Oh my gosh," he used his hair and swung over to them, "clay."
The three other brothers stood at the door with worried expressions on their faces.
"Clay, are you alright? What happened?" JD looked at each injury on his younger brother, and clay kinda chuckled with a drunk expression.
John turned his gaze to viva, and realized that the princess of pop village was standing in front of him. He bowed, "AA- my princess-"
"Oh cheezits— don't do that...."
Then JD also realized, this basically-random girl just showed up at his door with his beat-up brother.
"What did you do?" He grabbed clay away from her, and stepped backwards cautiously.
"It wasn't me!" She affirmed, knowing he probably thought that she was the one who had injured him. "I found him, so I brought him home.."
"She helped me Johnny..." Clay breathed, now leaning on his brother's shoulder, "they were gonna kill me."
John paused, "you saved his life?"
"uhhhhhhhhh. yea."
"T- Thank you." He spoke, and bowed again. "Thank you."

Well, John shook her hand, Viva made her way home, and that was that. She even put her hair up after that weird experience. Hey, having big hair is really hard. And weirdly, she knew clay understood how it felt.
She found herself smiling to herself a bit, and laughing thinking about their interactions. There was a whole bunch of outcomes that could've came out of this, but now, she was just thinking, WHOOP WOOOOP I made friends with him.! The mission would be a whole lot easier now.
Viva made it back to the castle, and it was much later than she thought. Looking at the clock, it was 1200, exactly midnight. She didn't even know it was that late. and she didn't feel very tired at all.
Viva walked through the hallways and peeked open the door to Poppy's room. She saw her baby sister quietly asleep, with a peaceful expression. Viva smiled, "Night baby poppy.."
Her father was now where to be seen, as always. She didn't suspect he was sleeping, maybe he was up working in his office and doing kingly things again. He was always up, working and slaving away at job-stuff. How come it was her who had to kill people ?Couldn't he do this himself? She still didn't know why she was the one who was forced to do it. It wasn't exactly her favorite activity to do.
She decided to check her father's room, creaking open the door softly, "dad?"
"Huh?" A voice came from the the darkness inside the room, and some rustling could be heard, "oh, hello viva. Where have you been off too?"
"Brozone concert." She sighed, "Uh.. g- good news. I met clay."
"You met him? Huh, that's quite lucky."
"Yea.." she decided suddenly to ask a question that she haven't ever asked before. She was too scared to ever ask it before, but Viva's curiously was killing her. "Uhm. Father?"
"Yes?"
"Why- why do I have to do it?" She breathed, "Why do I kill people?"
"Hm.. think of it as, a.. family heirloom."
"I don't think this is an heirloom anyone wants."
"Yea, well—" The King turned to her and tried to explain to the best of his abilities, "It's quite complicated. It's an oldest sibling thing that gets passed down. I had to do it too."
"How long did you do it for?"
"Eh- about.. a year or so maybe."
"—A year?" The princess gaped, clutching the doorframe," But- I've been doing it for 3!"
"I know honey." King peppy sighed, "Like I said, it's complicated.."
"Then explain it to me."
"Honey-"
"It's not fair!" She raised her voice distastefully, "I don't wanna kill anybody."
"Well you have to." He stated sternly, facing away from his daughter, "End of discussion."
"But I-"
"I said end of discussion!" He raised his voice. The king gently calmed himself down, ending his words with a sigh. "go to bed, viva."
"Ugh!" She groaned with a unsatisfied glare towards her father, she stormed out of the room and hopped on her bed in tears. She couldn't help but cry; Out of all the anger and sadness and confusion she felt. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all.
Poppy would never have to kill anyone. Viva would never want her little sister to get into something like this. She could never know. Viva didn't want her to ever know.
And- how come she had been doing this for so long? It didn't seem... necessary. Well, Viva knew for sure if she ever had kids she would stop this odd heirloom-tradition. What was even the point of doing all this? For the family?
She ended up drifting to sleep, with tears still welled in her eyes.
