Their lives have pretty much remained the same since the kids started going to school. They wake up, get themselves ready, get the kids ready, Olivia makes breakfast, and they leave the house. It is the same every single day, and Liv likes her routine. She knows that Stephanie appreciates it, too. Everything is perfect and just how they like it. That is until the house comes down with a stomach bug and their routine is disrupted.
"How is Eli?" Liv asks Elliot as he walks down the stairs in his suit. "You're going to work?"
"They need me," Elliot says seriously. "He's in the bathroom again. Liv," he sighs. "You're going to have to take the day off, I can't do it today," he says seriously, kissing her cheek as he heads towards the door.
Olivia sighs. She knows that these things can't be helped, but it is a lot harder for her now that she is captain. She texts Fin, and tells him he is in charge today. And she finishes buttering her toast.
"Mama, I don't feel good," Stephanie says from the stairs.
"You too?" Liv asks, chewing her toast. "Go back to bed, honey. I'll call the school," she says gently. She hates it when her kids are sick. They are so sad and helpless and she can't do anything about it.
"Can I sleep in your bed?" Steph asks hopefully, and Liv smiles, nodding.
"Sure, just don't throw up on my sheets," Liv warns playfully, turning around to make herself a cup of coffee. She pours the freshly brewed drink into her mug and heads back up the stairs to her bedroom. If she needs to have the day off, she might as well spend it in bed.
She walks into her room, Coffee in one hand and her phone in the other, and she looks up to see both Eli and Stephanie under her covers. "Hmm," she says. "Make room for me." They scoot to either side of the bed, leaving space in the middle, and Olivia climbs in, careful not to spill her drink.
"How are you feeling?" she asks Eli as he wraps his arms around her middle, cuddling her like he used to as a small child. It makes her smile, she puts her phone down, and runs her fingers through his hair as she sips her coffee.
"I feel gross," He says truthfully. "Can we watch TV?" he asks.
"Sure," Liv smiles. "Remote is on Daddy's bedside table," she tells him as he breaks away from her and turns on the television.

"How are you feeling?" Elliot asks his wife through the crack in the bathroom door as she hurls into the toilet bowl. Her retching sounds painful. She has been in there for ages.
"Don't come in," she says between gagging. "I am gross."
"You're not gross," Elliot says, stepping into the bathroom and pulling her hair back out of her face. "What can I do?"
"Go away so you don't get sick, too," Liv says seriously.
"Nope," Elliot smiles. "I am here to take care of you."
