It was a cool, peaceful afternoon in the city of Morrisberg. The city folk enjoying a day out. Shoppes buzzing with customers, restaurants packed with hungry mouths, and distant chatter in the background as Jade and Kai walked down the busy street, enjoying cold mountain dews.

Jade was in her early 20's, average height and red hair. She chose to wear leather that day, adorning a leather skirt, accompanied by a white crop top and ankle boots.

Kai was in his mid 20s, short brown hair, shaggy and all over the place, growing a stubble of a beard, also wore leather hoping to match his girlfriend's style of choice. He adorned leather pants, a black tank top and black boots, a dog tag chain dangling from around his neck. But what most people don't know, is that his left leg is made out of metal. He had to have his leg replaced from the knee down after a freak accident several years prior.

"Kai?" Jade attempted to grab Kai's attention, Kai responding with a hum. "Do you ever wonder what it would be like to fight wild battles, multiple enemies and become heroes?" Jade asked, pondering her question. "Have you been watching too much anime again Jade?" Kai asked, slightly smiling. "No" Jade dragged, "just curious is all." Jade looked up at the sky, admiring the beauty of the clear blue. "Don't stare up too long Jade, you'll go blind." Kai requested. "I know I just want to admire the beauty of nature." Jade stated, sighing softly with a smile. "You did always admire nature's beauty," He remarked, taking note of her admiration, he stopped in his path and grabbed Jade's arm, pulling her to the side. "I wanna show you something. Follow me this way." Jade, confused, followed him onto a side path that took them into a park; adorned with trees, a playground and a single picnic table.

On that table was Jade's sister, Tina. And next to her sister was a picnic basket. "Oh my gosh! Tina!" Jade exclaimed in excitement, running to her sister and hugging her. "I haven't seen you in a while! What are you doing here? How did you get here? Aren't you still living with your boyfriend?" Jade had so many questions, but had just as much excitement, having not seen her sister in a couple of years. Tina laughed, returning the hug. "It's good to see you too little sis." Tina chuckled, "I know many questions need to be answered, but I'll answer them in a minute." Tina gestured to the basket. Jade looked to Kai, then to the basket. "What did you pack?" Jade questioned, anxious to know the contents of the basket. "Come have a seat and you'll know." Tina stated, smiling. The three sat at the table, as Tina started unpacking the basket. "Now, to answer your questions, I'm here to visit, and to break some news.. Our grandmother has passed... and the house has been sold." Tina stated, not seeming to care much. "About time she did. After all she put us through... but who bought the house?" Jade questioned, recalling the happy memories of her late grandfather in that house. "No idea.. but I have a feeling its someone we don't like.." Tina replied, placing Jade's food in front of her. "Oh boy i wonder who that could be," Jade sarcastically questioned. But as soon as Jade saw her food, her expression changed from nonchalant to shocked. "No way! My favorite!" Jade exclaimed, seeing her favorite meal. Barbeque ribs accompanied by sweet potato casserole and mac-n-cheese.

"I found a place here in town that served this. I just hope its the same quality as back home. But to answer your other question, yes I'm still living with Max." Tina replied, placing Kai's favorite in front of him. Corn dogs and pizza. "Oh boy. Jade we're gonna have a problem later." Kai joked, laughing and looking at Jade. Her, knowing what it meant, rolled her eyes. "Oh boy." Tina laughed as she knew too. "I swear Kai if you Dutch oven me you're sleeping on the couch!" Jade exclaimed, recalling the last time she smelled a fart from him, grimacing at the thought. "Thanks for the food Tina." Kai stated. The three began eating. Small talk could be heard, but little did the three know there was danger lurking around the corner.
