Boarding The Train

A family of five were in King Cross Station. They would have looked like any other family if it wasn't for the two owls they had with them.

"It won't be long before you get to go," said the man to his youngest child and only daughter.

"Two years," complained the girl. "I want to go now!"

This family was no ordinary family. The man was Harry Potter, the woman was his wife Ginny, and the three kids' names were James, Albus and Lily.

The oldest, James, was teasing his younger brother that he might end up in Slytherin house, much to Albus' horror.

The Potter family reached the barrier and took turns going through it as to not attract Muggle attention.

"You'll write to me, won't you?" asked Albus.

"Every day, if you want us to," said Ginny.

"But James says that most people only get letters once a month," said Albus.

"We wrote to James three times a week last year," said Ginny.

"You don't want to believe everything he tells you about Hogwarts," said Harry. "He likes a laugh, your brother."

The Potter family met the Granger-Weasley family, which consisted of Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, and their kids Rose and Hugo. Rose was the same age as Albus and both of them would be starting at Hogwarts that year.

Ron boasted that Hermione didn't think that he would be able to pass a Muggle driving test, but then he secretly admitted that he had to Confund the examiner. Then he joked to Rose that he would disinherit her if she wasn't in Gryffindor.

Ron suddenly spotted Draco Malfoy, his wife Astoria, and their son Scorpius nearby. "So that's little Scorpius," he whispered to Rose. "Make sure you beat him in every test, Rosie. Thank god you inherited your mother's brains."

Hermione told Ron off for trying to put Rose against Scorpius, but then James appeared and said that he had spotted Teddy Lupin snogging their cousin Victorie, Bill and Fleur's daughter.

Lily got excited as she wanted Teddy to be part of the family, but then Amelia came with her daughter Marigold Longbottom. The young girl was very excited about starting at Hogwarts.

"I can't believe that I will be seeing Dad every day instead of once a week!"

"I know," said Amelia. "Lucky you."

"Don't forget to give Neville our love," Ginny told James.

"Mum! I can't give a Professor love!" said James.

"But you know Neville..."

"But at school he's Professor Longbottom, isn't he? I can't walk into Herbology and give him love..."

"I can," said Marigold cheerfully.

"That's because Neville is your Dad," said James. "Of course it's fine for you..."

Meanwhile, Harry was trying his best to encourage Albus, who was very nervous about going to Hogwarts. "Don't mess with Peeves. Don't duel anyone 'til you've learned how. And don't let James wind you up."

"What if I'm in Slytherin?" asked Albus fearfully. "That's the house of Dark Wizards."

Harry remembered having the exact same fears when he was Albus' age. Luckily he knew what to say.

"Albus Severus, you were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew. The Sorting Hat takes your choice into account."

"Really?" asked Albus hopefully.

"It did for me," said Harry.

Amelia gave a few instructions to Marigold. "Don't let anyone get to you. If you get bullied, tell your Dad. He will know how to handle it."

"Mum, which house do you think I will be in? Gryffindor like Dad, or Ravenclaw like you?"

"I don't know," said Amelia. "But whatever house you end up in won't matter. Good luck and give my love to your Dad."

James, Albus, Rose, Scorpius, Marigold, and all the other Hogwarts students entered the train. They waved at their parents as the train set off.

"I love you Mum," said Marigold.

"I love you too," said Amelia.

Albus waved wildly at Harry, who waved back.

"He'll be all right," said Ginny.

"I know he will," said Harry.

"I'm already missing my baby girl," said Amelia.

Is it good? I'm pretty sure that I'm not as good as JK Rowling.
