Casper's pov

I was stuck in traffic. Yes, at a moment like this, the heavens decided that the best thing that could happen to me was this jam-packed road. I hit the steering wheel and glared at the lady who was controlling the damn traffic. Frustrated, I called Janet to know her whereabouts.

'Hello?'

'Greetings! Boss baby.'

'Where are you? Are you alright?'

'Yeah, I can see the store in front of me so I guess that I'm going to be okay.'

'It might take a while for me to reach you, I am stuck in traffic.'

'What if something happens to me in the time being?'

'Are you scared?'

'Do I sound like I am scared? If anything, then the people should be scared of me! Ha!'

'Please stay safe till I reach you.'

'I'll be okay, pal. You worry a lot.'

'How can I not worry? What if something-'

'Roger that boss baby. I've successfully reached my destination. I'll keep you updated. Over.'

And the call ended; I exhaled in frustration at her careless behaviour. Finally, the lights turned green, and I drove to the horrendous location of my sister. I turned on the GPS of my car which told me that it would take me at least thirty minutes to reach my destination. I gritted my teeth in irritation and scowled at the slow car in front of me that I was unable to overtake. Increasing the volume of my car's music system, I tried to calm my nerves when I felt my phone vibrate against my thigh. The caller ID read Noa's name and I immediately picked it up.

'Hello?'

'Ah, yes, hello to you too, Casper.'

'What happened?'

'It's been some while, but I think that I left Janet at a place I shouldn't have.'

'Oh~? You think so?!'

'I know, I am sorry, I just— lost it.'

'Whatever on earth happened, I don't care, but she's a girl and our sister. At the end of the day, you couldn't just desert her!'

'I said that I'm sorry! Don't talk like you know everything! A fight broke out between us, a verbal fight of course.'

'Oh yeah? Enlighten me.'

'Xue fired Luke for not bringing her boba on time and bam! I have been her chauffeur since then. Do you know how annoying it is to drive her everywhere? Stupid girl doesn't even use cabs.'

'How do you know that she fired Luke because he didn't bring her bubble tea on time?'

'I saw it, Casper! She is short-tempered, and you know it for heaven's sake!'

'Did she tell you that herself?'

'Tell me what?'

'That she fired Luke because he didn't complete a task on time?'

'Oh, I see where this is going now. You are siding with her, aren't you?'

'I am not siding with anyone! I am just trying to change your perspective!'

'Change my perspective? How?'

'You can't just jump to conclusions because you saw something take place.'
