"Have fun with the girls hun...and don't forget to help Kate out with her homework before supper, 'kay?"

Liam red and green eyes glanced over to his eighteen-year-old daughter beside him, as he hefted his work bag onto his right shoulder. Her bushy tail was twitching in obvious excitement, as much as she tried to act all prim and proper, nodding obediently.

"Sure dad! I'll look after everything. I hope it'll be a nice trip!" she chirped

The wolf smirked as he tucked in his shirt,

"It's not a holiday ya know. But thanks all the same. Now give us a hug, Sweets."

He opened his arms and Amy stood up on tip toes and wrapped her slender arms around his neck, pecking her father's cheek as he squeezed her in return. Her slim belly pressed against his waist and she gave a little 'chrrr' sound, which made him smirk. Giving her pert rear a soft slap, he chuckled,

"Down girl. We'll 'talk' about that stuff when I get back."

She grinned as he let her go and gave him a wink before smiling brightly once more.

"Good luck dad, drive safe~"

"'Course I will hun, you hold down the fort and I'll see ya both tomorrow evening. Kate should be back from her friend's place pretty soon."

As he spoke, he made his way over to his pick up and slipped into the driver's seat with familiar ease. The engine rumbled to life and he gave Amy a familiar friendly smirk as he waved goodbye.

"Love you hun."

"Love you too dad! See you soon."

And with that he pulled out into the road and headed off on the long drive to the next state.

Amy watched him go, biting her lip slightly as she wished they'd had time for a little fun beforehand. But soon her thoughts went back to the prospect of a girl's night and she happily scurried back inside the house. She still had an hour or so before Renee had said she would arrive though, so she decided to get the lounge ready and also to whip up a few simple finger food snacks for her friends. It didn't take her long to mix up some nice dips and lay out a tray with veggie sticks, a little sweet and sour pork, a bowl of corn chips and some of her trademark chocolate brownie balls which she'd baked especially. As an afterthought, she cooked up a generous helping of mac and cheese for Kate. The little girl had the typical teenage girl apatite and, in any case, she didn't really want her hovering around the table while she and her girlfriends were hanging out...

"Hellooo?"

Amy's ears perked up and she rushed to open the front door, greeting her friend with a wide grin.

"Hiya! Come on in girl, long time no see!"

Renee giggled as she folded her bat wings behind her back to fit through the door, before she and Amy hugged each other tightly.

"I know right?! Can't believe we haven't done this sooner! Are the others here yet?"

"Nope, you're the first! I was just making some food for kate before you all got here." Amy replied, as she headed back to the kitchen.

"Naww, look at you being the big sister~" Renee cooed, giggling again as she fingered a lock of Amy's flowing, waist length pink hair, "You gotta tell me your secret girl...how do you get it like this!"

Amy giggled, before striking a modelling pose and tossing her hair back dramatically.

"Sugar, it just comes natural don't ya know."

The two girl's burst into giggles and carried on chatting while Amy finished making Kate's supper, putting it in the oven for when she arrived. It wasn't more than fifteen minutes before a light knocking came from the front and they both hurried to see who it was.
