It's a Sunday. And Sundays mean that we get to see Purple! Since going back to the Outernet with him, King's been homeschooling her to make up for the years she wasn't able to go to an actual school for. Saturdays and Sundays are the only two days we can really visit her, and we usually target for Sundays since she may have homework to do on Saturdays and Sundays are guaranteed to be free for her. If she has work to do, she tells us that we can't come over that day.
We also don't bug her every week either. We usually visit once or twice a month and sometimes three. Me and the others get dressed, tell Alan we're leaving, and go through the nether portal. It's conveniently close to theirs so we go through and end up in their basement as always. And also as always, Purple is waiting on the couch. "Hey!" I say, hugging her tight. "Hey, Red! Hey, guys!" She says, waving "hello" to everyone else. "So, I actually have something planned for us today. There's a small coffee shop nearby, and it's really good! You guys wanna go?"
"Sure, why not?" Second says. "Is King alright with that?" Yellow asks. "Yeah. He is. I told him about this earlier, so he knows where we're heading. Only condition is that we come back before sunset." We all nodded, heading out and walking over. She said it was close and within walking distance so it wouldn't take too long. After about 20 minutes or so, we go inside, and it was actually quite nice. There were three other tables with people there.
One was with two people I assumed were college students studying together, another with a girl scrolling on her phone with earbuds which she was presumably listening to music with. The last one was a guy probably around King's age (like- mid/late 40s) sitting by himself. "Okay, what do you guys wanna get?" We all just agreed on coffee for everyone, and a brownie for me and Blue. Purple told us to go pick a table while she got our food and drinks. We chose one and started talking a little bit.
