A/N: I AM SO SORRY FOR NOT UPDATING, I WILL MAKE UP FOR IT THE BEST I CAN WITH THIS CHAPTER!! 😭
Jisung awoke.
Expecting to be met with sunlight, he was momentarily stunned by the pitch dark of the room- the walls were encased in a sort of unnatural shade, as if on purpose.
No clock in sight. Windows were all blocked off by yellowing wood, the darkest shade of brown to his eyes.
A nagging sensation that he had forgotten something crossed his mind, and the boy rubbed his eyes in confusion.
It was just at the very tip of his memory, but evaded him nonetheless.
Though the tear stains upon his pillow sent a drought of humiliation and annoyance through his heart.
A hand banged on a metal door, and Jisung jolted upright, slowly stepping off the bed, one foot in front of the other. His heart pounded in his ears.

"Well? You awake?" A voice shouted from the other side.
Of course he was, the metal floor was designed to echo even the faintest sounds.
Yet the door remained soundproof,
"Good morning, dad." He answered.
The squirrel-like boy's father took the reluctant invitation, and pushed inside.
Not that he needed an invitation in the first place.
Jisung was locked in a stalemate either way, he could only submit and survive.
This knowledge was mutal between the two, and both wished to maintain peace, for now.
It was faintly impossible to read the other's expression within the dark, yet Jisung could hear the smile in Jayson's words.
"Why don't you come with me, son? I'll get you something to eat."
The boy hesitated to answer, this person seemed neither nice nor malicious, yet wolves wear sheep's clothing.
Jayson expected for him to refuse, as then he could carry on the remaining of his plan, to play the game.
But Jisung made it difficult, his son didn't carry his rebellious streak, and played 'good boy' the whole time.
The wolf was waiting for the prey's first move, the prey was waiting for an escape.
Jisung wasn't alone in this stalemate.
Yet Jayson still had the power, and his patience had snapped.
So he agreed, and warily tailed Jayson out of the room, into something which looked like a cross between a garage and a storage room.
A cat sat in the corner, welcoming the two with a meow.
Common ginger fur, calculating lime eyes.
The older man noticed Jisung's gaze and informed, "That's my cat, he's called Noah."
"Very omniscient, his cleverness makes up for his uglyness."
Jayson's tone was condescending, grating the air, the cat was definitely female and far from ugly in Jisung's perspective.
But everyone views the world through separate lenses, even those who resonate closely to eachother.
" So, been working with the lost kids gang eh?"
Jisung's attention was averted away from the animal, eyes landing on his father's face.
The man circled around the boy, toying with him, as the younger attempted to keep him in sight.
