"We've been searching for days. Can we just call it quits? It's pointless."

It has been a month since I arrived. I cant stand it anymore. I miss my home my family and junk food. *Don’t come for me.*
Everyone was trying there hardest to find a time traveller or someone who has some knowledge about time but lo and behold, nada!  Well, isn't that a shocker? Despite Dark Ones and witches practically hanging out on every street corner, they somehow couldn't find any. Just my luck. I turn around to leave the library. I just need to clear my head.

I was given a room in the castle, nothing fancy or at least that’s what the guards said. There was a huge bed stood in the middle of the room, a big old looking window on the large wall overlooking the village, a closet that looked like it should be in a museum. *I’m not joking. Even the dust on the cabinets is probably older than you and me combined.* There was a small vanity that had roses wrapped around its wooden pools holding up the mirror and a huge chandelier in the middle of the room. It is ridiculous wat they call a normal room but I’m not complaining.

I was sat at the beautiful vanity when I heard a knock on the door, probably a guard getting me because I’m needed in the library.

“Come in!” I shout from the vanity.

“Hey, I just wanted to check on you.” A sweet voice said form the other side of the room.
*Well that’s not a guard.* I turn around to check who it was.

“Hi, Snow,” I said, turning back around to put my hair in a loose ponytail. I was planning to walk around in the garden.

“Are you okay? You seemed a bit frustrated when you left the library,” she asked, now standing next to the vanity.

“Yeah, I’m fine, just need to clear my head,” I said, turning toward her while standing up.

“Did you find anything?” My voice was low with little hope. I knew I wouldn’t get out of here. I just had to accept that this was my new life.

“No, nothing,” Snow said.

With a deep sigh, I nodded. There really was no way out.

“I’m going to take a walk in the forest.”

“Oh, okay. Do you want me to join?” she asked, trying to lighten the mood.

“No, thank you. I just need to think. Alone.”

*It is beautiful here, nothing like the city.* I walked slowly through the forest. Birds were chirping, and the leaves rustled in the wind. Sunlight came through the trees, making patterns on the ground.

I saw a strange, shimmering light. I turned my head, curious and careful.

"What is that?" I whispered to myself. The light got brighter and started to pulse. I took a few steps closer, feeling a strange pull towards it.

"What the f-..." I muttered. Suddenly, the light expanded, forming a swirling portal. I gasped and tried to step back, but it was too late. The portal sucked me in with a powerful force.

"No! What’s happening?" I shouted, struggling against the pull, but it was too strong. I tried to grab whatever was in my reach. A tree branch was the victim but I grabbed it so hard that it broke off. *just my luck.*

I felt a sharp pain in my hand. I tried to look down but I was spun around.

Then, everything went black.
