Slime's PoV

"You really went through a lot, didn't you?" I said almost shedding a tear, although can I shed a tear?

Whatever! Veloria-san's backstory was really sad. I did not expect his sisters to be this mean! But I still didn't understand how did she end up here like this? Maybe she'll tell me later.

"Then what happened next Veloria-san? Your brother supported you after that right?" I asked him.

Veloria-san became silent. I think she was trying to think of what to say to me but couldn't say it. After a moment he said.

"No. He died."

"What!" I almost yelled, "He was the one who created this universe right? He was the god! How could a god die?" I asked Veloria-san since it didn't make any sense.

"He died due to reasons which even I fully don't know but I guess he knew he was gonna die, that's why after that incident he didn't made contact with me too much.

I was mad at him for that reason but when I sensed that he died it made sense to me. He was omniscient and omnipotent in his prime and he gave up his powers willfully that means he knew he was going to die and he has not reincarnated since means he is choosing to not come in this world.

He knew it that's why to not hurt my feelings after his death he distanced himself from me."

Whoa! But didn't distancing himself from his sister already hurt her feelings? But I guess if she would've became more attached to his brother due to abuse of his sister then his death would have hurt Veloria even more.

"Then what did you do after your brother's death Veloria-san?"

"Nothing really. After my brother died I had no one with whom I could talk so I was very lonely all the time. I thought of seeing this whole world by my own eyes so I decided to travel but it did not work out as I planned.

I knew that magicules that were leaking from my body will be harmful to humans that's why I kept my precaution and tried to avoid contact with humans as much as possible but if I had ever accidentally came near human settlements I caused their destruction. Even if I didn't mean to.

This cause my sister Velzard to come and "teach me lesson" every time I caused destruction. She would hunt me down wherever I was in the world and kill me with single blow."

"Your own sister killed you!!!!!! And multiple times at that???"

"Even I was also in shock and much more than you are in now. Letting me die at the hands of demon lord Guy was one thing but coming and killing me by herself every time I accidentally caused damage was another.

At first I went through existential crisis but then I accepted my situation. There was nothing I could do that would stop my sister's actions. She was far stronger than me and Veldanava- nii was no more to stop her. Unless I could somehow become stronger than her there was no stopping of her actions so I gave up and stopped trying to explore the world. I returned to Jura forest and started to living my life alone and lonely."

"Wow! That must have been tough."

"It was. But I wasn't alone all the time. I would occasionally help dryads in expanding forest and sustaining it and I would sometime go to the ogre tribe to greet them."

"Ogres?"

"Yeah! They are warrior tribe monsters that live in the forest. They are fairly strong by monster comparison but the aspect of them that picks my interest is that they value loyalty and pride. They treated me with utmost respect even though I technically wasn't their master. I was happy by their treatment so I gave them my promise that as long as they are inside the area of Forest of Jura I will protect them if their life would ever come in danger."
