I woke up to bright lights blaring in my face. I didn't remember anything. Where was I? What happened? How did I get here? Am I in heaven? All of a sudden I saw a face staring at me. "Hey," he stammered, "Are you ok?" "Uh, where am I?" I asked "You're in the hospital. Do you remember anything?" I racked my head trying to recall something. "I think my name is Clay," I finally responded. "Do you know why I'm in the hospital?" The man paused. "Do you know who I am?" he whispered. I hesitated and he sensed it. I suddenly felt guilty after looking at his dejected face. Was I supposed to know him? I just thought he was my nurse. "It's ok," he half-heartedly smiled, "I wasn't expecting anything anyways." My heart felt heavy. I sensed that me and my nurse had a deeper connection. Something special before I landed in this stupid hospital. I wanted to know. I needed to know. The man sighed, "I know this is hard so I'll leave you so you can recover quickly." I panicked. I didn't want him to leave so soon. "Wait," I called out, "what's your name?" His warm brown eyes stared at me. At that moment I noticed he was very muscular and his slight smile made my heart skip a beat. Frankly, he was quite attractive. In my dazed state, I heard him say, "Christopher," and I never saw him again.I learned that I had been in an accident that caused me to be admitted to the hospital. Something about a lack of vitamin D? I couldn't care less about my physical condition since Christopher occupied my mind for the rest of the week. As I tried to get back on my feet and remember my life before the accident I would always remember his brown eyes and comforting smile. Oh, how he was all I could think about. Even though I reunited with my best friends and roommates Nicholas and George, they couldn't tell me anything about Christopher. They didn't even know who he was.I constantly tried to find him again. I looked all over social media and asked around but to no avail. I became desperate and heartbroken. The man I thought I had a genuine connection with just disappeared.I was about to give up, but I tried my last option. During my hospital checkup, I asked my nurse, "Hey, do you know another nurse named Christopher? He was with me when I first woke up."She looked confused. "There's no one named Christopher that works here." Then she thought for a second and her eyes widened. "Do you mean Christopher, your boyfriend?"I was shocked. I was dating that man. No wonder I felt a sense of attraction. Who wouldn't have fallen in love with that fine specimen? A wave of relief poured over me as the mystery was finally solved. One problem down, I thought, now I just need to find him.I went home very excited and my roommates could clearly see the glee on my face. "What's got you so happy?" they asked."Nothing much," I tried to shrug off but my huge plastered smile gave away the lie.George and Nicholas looked at each other very seriously. My smile fell, "Is everything ok?" I asked."Well," George started, "we didn't know when it would be a good time to tell you but we think you deserve to know." My heart began to race. Is it something bad, I thought. Before I could ask any questions, Nicholas interrupted my thoughts, "Before your accident, you used to work a lot."That was new. I hadn't worked since I came back from the hospital so maybe this was some good news."You had a YouTube channel," said Nicholas, "and you were pretty popular.""You went by Dream," George added, handing me his phone with a YouTube channel pulled up. The neon green banner illuminated the phone screen with the word 'Dream' across the top. Underneath wrote, 31.8 million subscribers. This was my YouTube channel. I was a popular Minecraft speedrunner."No one knew about your accident so your streaming break is scaring some of your fans," Nicholas said. "You might want to go back to work. When you're ready, of course."I shook myself out of my stupor, "Yeah, yeah," I mumbled and walked to my room. I opened my computer and pulled up my supposed channel. I stared at it, unsure of what to do. I then clicked on my past stream videos and gasped in shock. On the thumbnail of the video was me, and with me was Christopher.
