I laughed at what felt like the millionth tiktok, I scrolled through a few more until I came across a edit of Paige, the same Paige I'd been ignoring since Saturday. I turned my phone off in a swift motion and rose from my bed, I made a beeline to my closet and picked out a UConn sweatshirt and a pair of blue shorts. My roommate Andy heard the door open and sat up from her studying, "where you going?" She asked "to see Paige, I need to apologize." A soft smile formed onto her face; "that's good. Good luck, lady." I smiled and walked out the door.
Knocking on Paige's apartment door gave me déjà vu in the worst way. She opened the door, it looked empty inside, but then again so did the look on her face. "Hey, uhm could we talk?" I asked her while fiddling with the hem of my shorts, she shook her head, she hadn't been sleeping. I could tell, "come in," the door opened wider, I walked in and hesitated to sit on the couch, "it's just us here." I nodded and blinked back the obvious tears that welled in my eyes and took a seat on the couch. "Uhm I wa-wanted to talk because what I said was so rude- and selfish of me. And Paige I really can't lose you-" "Y/N" "no I have to say this. I love you so much- and to lose you, my world would stop spinning. I understand if you hate me and-" Paige yelled, "Y/N! I love you, and I get it, you were afraid I was leaving. But I'd never leave you. Ever." I smiled then engulfed her into a hug, "I love you so much" I whispered.
Paige and I spent the rest of the night together, talking, and laughing in each other's arms, I'd missed this, her. When I could hear her faint snoring I cuddled into her and slowly fell asleep with her.
