chapter 14

( the past )

july of 2015

"morning taehyun are you ready?" the women asked he woke up the younger "where's mom? is she not going with me?" taehyun asked while rubbing his eyes "um no she's busy with work so i'll be dropping you off the airport" he got up from bed and started to get ready to get going.

just like his older brother yeonjun, taehyun was supposedly going to attend highschool from states where he'll study business major. "remember you'll see your aunt and your cousin hueningkai who you met last time" the older women patted taehyun's head while dropping her off the airport.

"i really don't wanna go..." taehyun meekly said but was there another option for the boy? no one was really there back at home and his mother was always busy with work while his brother stayed in the dorms. taehyun felt too lonely not seeing or having anyone by his side other than a few caretakers in this massive house.

the flight was peaceful but deep inside taehyun feared being all by his own, he was only about seventeen that time. the moment the flight landed to america he stepped fastly towards the gate. at first he couldn't find hus aunt and fear froze him but then someone grabbed his hand.

"taehyun right!?" a shrill voice called his name as he looked and his eyes moved from his neck to his face "hey taehyun long time no see!! it's hueningkai" the boy sweetly said and instantly took his luggage. they directly went to the car where his aunt was already on the driver's seat "did you reach here fine?" the women asked in the most softest voice ever.

"yes ma'm i did" taehyun replied calmly "oh boy you're such a kind kid but don't call me ma'm sounds too formal...however what about aunt or auntie?" she leaned over to taehyun smiling and thats where taehyun knew his time and affection he's been waiting for so long has finally come.

the drive was fairly long or maybe felt like one for taehyun who excited for his coming days. soon he saw the house in his vision. it was nothing special just a cozy small house where there was enough space to call it big unlike his previous massive home which felt like the walls were eating him up.

"hey huening why don't you go and show him his room along with his luggage? i'll go make something light for you both" taehyun followed huening who ran upstairs with his luggage "this is you're room, and this is mine" he gestured taehyun to tge rooms in the first floor hallway that were placed right next to each other.

"okay thanks" taehyun took his luggage from hueningkai and left for his room but the younger popped in his room again "school's gonna start from next week and uh...let's be good friends from now on!!" he cheered before running downstairs. taehyun laughed at his embarrassing actions.

those three days flew so fast and it was already monday. the school both the boys were going to attend was a prestigious school that was supported by taehyun's mother.
"god i'm so excited!!" taehyun's head was doing flip backs, just thinking about meeting a set of totally new people gave him stress but also a feeling of light thumps in his heart.

" huening...where are you're friends" taehyun said while going through the half hallways. huening's expression changed into a more serious one, it went somewhat full of terros. before taehyun could ask anything he was pulled back by someone.

when taehyun started to grasp what was happening, it was too late...hueningkai, his lovely cousin was nowhere to be seen. for brief moment taehyun felt scared as a bunch if strangers were towering over him

"well look what do we have here?" a boy with faded yellow hair said as he lifted taehyun's chin "why do all fucking asians look like a bunch of faggots" he clenched on taehyun's shoulder making him wince in pain.

"haha tyler look! this boy even moans like a women" he bought his face closer to taehyun's with a smug look on his face before clenching on his hair. taehyun was scared for his dear life. he ended up accidentally pushing the boy "the fuck?" he rammed his fist on taehyun's face that ended up bleeding his lip.

"alex stop!!!" a girl came after pushing everyone away. she creased the boy's bleeding face "fuck off may. you just want him don't you?" alex clenched his hands moving away because he was defenceless against may.

"oh you're gonna pay big for this" she made the most disgusting face and then took taehyun to infamy "i'm sorry you had to go through this on the very first day" that day after getting a few patches on his cheek, taehyun started to talk less and less. he despised how hueningkai came instantly into the infamy looking all worried.

(trigger out)

"why're you here? you knew this would happen didn't you?" taehyun's voice was stone cold, it ran a chill down huening's body but he couldn't say anything other than apologising.

"i don't need your apology hueka..." taehyun touched his freshly patched cheek, it stung when he touched it. the younger couldnt tell a word to taehyun because it would've been useless and he would look weak because he was also also victim.

deep inside taehyun realised it the more he spent time with huening because his anti social behaviour was really there if you tried to pay him just a little bit or attention. taehyun felt bad but anger even because the younger wouldn't tell him.

"i'm sorry but something really came up that moment, please try not to run into them.that way you won't get bullied again"

"i really really hate you so much" taehyun got off and left before huening could approach him again.

that went on for another four years but as days progressed it became harder and harder for taehyun and so he ended up coming back to korea after completing highschool only.

"why the fuck are you coming with me again?" taehyun asked annoyed as hell "and you're sitting right by my side too?" hueningkai just chuckled and sat after fishing out his tablet.

"because i'm also going to work there"

"ugh i hate it here"
