Laksh is sitting on the kitchen slab eating peanuts watching his mother cook while Kamala Kaki is helping her. He just came back from college. He went to college after one long week. His mother didn’t let him go to college all these days saying he is injured and he needs rest. Sanskar enjoyed every bit of Laksh’s whining but still following his mother’s orders. Annapurna conducted a puja at home since Laksh got out of accident safe. She also made sure they visited their traditional temple the previous day.
“Ma I was thinking why not get bhayya married?” Laksh asked.
“You think I didn’t ask him?” Annapurna asked mixing the dough for parantha.
“I know he keeps arguing with you. Such a bad son! Ptch!” Laksh twitched his lips acting annoyed of his brother.
Annapurna laughs hearing him as she knows he is making fun of his brother.
“Oh! Is it?” They heard Sanskar’s voice from the kitchen’s entrance.
Laksh smiles sheepishly making Annapurna laugh more. Laksh smiles at his mother’s laugh while Sanskar hits Laksh’s head.
“Bhayya stop hitting me. I don’t even have a girlfriend!” Laksh spoke whining.
“That you should think when you rejected an amazing girl!” Sanskar said sarcastically.
“She is my best friend!” Laksh argued.
“Whatever!” Sanskar spoke and snatched peanuts from Laksh.
“Those are mine. Get yours!” Laksh snatched from Sanskar again.
“Kids don’t fight!” Annapurna said passing another bowl for Sanskar.
Laksh showed his tongue to Sanskar while Sanskar twitched his lips.
