June 1rst, Friday. A very special day for Caspian."Pleasure doing business with you ma'am."
The woman smiles back and as she gazes satisfyingly at the bottle she held in between her long fingers she went her merry way. Caspian watches her back as she proceeds to walk and eventually disappearing among the crowd of busy people. 'another satisfied costumer and a potential regular' he thought clutching the money from the sale he had just made.
The sun of the summer's afternoon is bright and burning, the uncomfortable temperature prompted him to pack his belongings and product. After neatly arranging the bottles and the blanket he laid down in his bag, Caspian also went to attend to his appointments.
His heavy bag wasn't something that he was not used to, this has been Caspian's way of living for the past seven years after all. Selling unconventional concoctions by the streets near the city's wet market is his primary method of putting food on the table but for Caspian he couldn't ask for more.
*Huff* *huff*
He pants as he entered a bakery owned by one of his regular costumer. The bell chimes, alerting the staff by the counter who gave Caspian a welcome.
"Good morning and welcome sir, are you here to pick ip an order?" The clerk asks.
Caspian nods as he came close to the counter eyeing the different desserts displayed through the glass, and then he saw the prices and sighed. "I'm just here to puck up the order from last week, it should be under the name Caspian."
The clerk pressed the keys of the computer's keyboard entering the name as told by the computer. "Ahh yes, it has just arrive this morning. Let me get it from the back, why don't you take a seat by the table over there." She said pointing at the closest table.
As the clerk went to get his dessert, Caspian took the moment to slowly take in the peaceful surroundings of the empty bakery. There is no costumers as of this time since most are back to join the workforce and school work. The muffled sound of the vehicles outside also help to create a relaxing atmosphere for Caspian.
A small box then suddenly appears innthe table and Caspian looked up to see the clerk. "Here's the cake sir."
Caspian stood and tugged the ribbons of the cake box, carrying it in one hand saying goodbye to the clerk and exits the bakery with a smile. Looking down excitedly at the plain cardboard cakebox he is carrying, suppressing the urge to find something to sit down and devour the dessert inside.
His mood became even brighter as he opened the door of the apartment he managed to rent, located in a small alley. The inside wasn't that grand, after all the five square meter room has only enough space a simple futon, a simple bathroom slash comfort room and a very small space in the corner dedicated as his workshop for creating his concoctions.
But right now it doesn't matter he sat by the table near his bed and opened the box to reveal a simple black forest cake with his name written in icing. Caspian lit the candles that came with the cake and puts in on the dessert. Like a small toddler his eyes sparkles as he looks at the cake he order, clasping his hands together and humming the happy birthday tune.
*Knock* *knock* *knock*
A small noise that came from outside caught Caspian's attention. He stopped humming happy birthday and turned to look at the door of his apartment. Immediately returning attention to his cake after discarding the noise as something done an alley cat or dog.
*Knock* *knock* *knock*
Caspian blew the lit candle after finished humming the happy birthday song. He took a cherry from the dessert and ate it happily, smiling as his mouth is filled by the sweetness of the fruit. He took out a knife fromnthe utensils he set on the corner of the table and was very ready to take a slice out of the cake.
*Knock* *knock* *SLAM!*
His eyebrows twitches as he heard the loud knocking once more. This time he was sure that it wasn't made by any stray animals. Annoyed, Caspian puts down his knife and went to took a bottle of special concoctions from the tray in his tiny workshop by the corner. The content in this particular bottle has a similar but more potent effect to a pepper spray.
As Caspian came close to the door sounds of a confrontation.
*Clang* *Clang* *Thud* *Clang*
It was very similar to how sharp metal objects comes in contact by force.
The loud clashing only lasted a few moments before only silence came the outside, but silence couldn't hide the presence of whoever was it waiting when Caspians opens his apartment door. So he steeled himself gripping the bottle and took a stance tonprepare a throw. As he twisted the knob, Caspian gulps his saliva in anticipation.
The door completely opens, but Caspian wasn't able to throw the bottle in his hand. The sharp end of a saber was pointed closely at his neck, held by a tall man who dawned a black samurai kimono covered in blood. His eyes showed no expression but his aura emits the bloodlust from just killing the person now lying at the alley's floor covered in blood.
The man's expression relaxed and retracted his blade. "Are you Caspian?" He asked.
Scared, Caspian nods to him while his body is stiff and trembling. The blade in thee man's hand was then sheathed as his answer was acknowledge and then he who held the balde against Caspian's neck knelt with one knee to the ground and a hand on his chest.
"I am pleased to meet you once more young warlock. It is time for you to fulfill your end on this covenant of ours." He said. "I am Arthur Von Eros, a martialist of-"
Before Arthur could further explain and introduce himself a voice from above yelled. "The martialist is here!"
Soon a group of four bipedal wolven like creatures surrounded the Arthur, whose relaxed expression returned to the state Caspian saw when he first opened the door. With sift movement he evaded the claws that wanted to slice through his flesh and then unsheathed his blade.
A slash and a thrust... Arthur was successful at killing the first of the shifter and moved on into the next one ready to strike with his blade. The third one then met gazes with Caspian who was standing stiff as a statue at the door. The shifter sensing something between the martialist and the person by the door quickly and creepily dashes towards Caspian on all fours.
"Shit!" Yelled Arthur, who disoriented his opponent by hitting his opponent on it's face eith the hilt of his sword.
No matter how fast he realized, the shifter still came close to Caspian first. Not to worry however, remember the bottle Caspian wanted to throw towards the annoying person that kept on knocking on his door while he was trying to eat the cake he prepared for his birthday. Conveniently the same bottle is still being held by Caspian and as a bodily instinct it was smashed directly at the shifter who stood up to pounce on Caspian.
The poor wolf man wailed and is rolling on the ground rubbing his eyes with his fist as he felt the pain coming from the contents of the bottle. It was as if his eyes was on fire. Caspian who was also surprised by his actions, paused and exchange looks with the swordsman.
Immediately, the swordsman turned around and decapitated the shifter that he disoriented a while ago. Blood splashed from the wolf man's neck and the it's head rolled on the ground. Caspian who watched the entire process wanted to vomit, he felt his breakfast coming back up but the nauseous feeling went away as he felt that himself being picked up.
He was right.
Caspian is now in the arms of the swordsman, being carried bridal style. "Hold on tight unless you seek death." The swordsman warned.
While he (Caspian) was still a bit in a daze, the air hitting his face made him realize something. The swordsman jumped 50 foot from the ground and now they're on the run jumping from a roof to another. Caspian who was afraid of falling tightened his hold around the swordsman's neck.
Caspian then remembered his cake that was left on the table. Grumbling and silently complaining to the man that took him away. Anyhow, he knew that there is no use refuting this person lest he will have the same fate as those shifters the man faught earlier.

What's with the covenant he said earlier.
