Dongmin slouched beside Donghyun on the couch, his words slurred and his gaze unfocused. "Hey, Donghyunie, gotta say, you're looking extra handsome tonight. If I swung the other way, I'd totally date you."
Donghyun chuckled, nudging him lightly. "Oh yeah? Why not now? We're both open-minded, you know."
Dongmin let out a drunken hum, scratching his chin dramatically. "Nah, not feeling that vibe, man."
Rolling his eyes, Donghyun replied, "Sure, sure. You do you, Dongminnie. But hey, you're the one who introduced me to Jaehyun, remember?"
Suddenly, Dongmin's mood shifted, his drunken calm replaced by irritation. "Ugh, don't even get me started on that guy. He just... he pisses me off."
Donghyun raised an eyebrow, confusion etched on his face. "What? You were the one hyping him up when we first met. What gives?"
Dongmin just shrugged, making exaggerated raspberry sounds with his lips. "I dunno, man. Sometimes, people just rub you the wrong way, you know?"
As Dongmin continued to down his drinks, his conversation took a turn for the absurd. Donghyun watched with a mix of amusement and concern as Dongmin rambled on, his words becoming increasingly nonsensical.
"Hey, Donghyun, have you ever thought about how socks are just foot sweaters? I mean, seriously, think about it. We're walking around with these little fabric sweat lodges on our feet all day."
Donghyun chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "Dongmin, I think you've had enough to drink."
But Dongmin wasn't finished. "And don't even get me started on pineapples. Why are they called pineapples? They don't even grow on pine trees! It's a conspiracy, I tell you."
Donghyun couldn't help but laugh at his friend's drunken antics. "Alright, I think it's time we got you some water and maybe a little nap."
But Dongmin just waved him off, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Nah, I'm good. I've still got plenty of profound thoughts to share with the world. Like, did you know that if you rearrange the letters in 'listen,' it spells 'silent'? Mind blown, right?"
Donghyun couldn't help but shake his head, wondering how he always ended up as the responsible one when Dongmin got drunk.
Dongmin's drunken musings took a philosophical turn as he started to wax poetic about love and relationships.
"You know, Hyunie, love is just... silly," Dongmin declared, gesturing grandly with his drink. "People spend so much time chasing after it, but why? We should all just stay single and live our best lives."
Donghyun frowned, shaking his head in disagreement. "But Dongmin-ah, don't you want someone to share your life with? Someone to grow old with?"
Dongmin waved a dismissive hand, sloshing his drink a little in the process. "Nah, I've got my wine. What more do I need? Besides, who wants to deal with all that drama? I'd rather die alone than put up with that nonsense. Also, I don't wanna go to that hellhole of a job I'm telling you!"
Donghyun sighed, realizing that Dongmin's tipsy ramblings were getting him nowhere. "But Dongmin-ah, you'll need money to buy all that wine. You can't just stay here drinking for eternity."
Dongmin grinned mischievously, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Who says I can't? I'll just marry a rich guy and live off his fortune. Problem solved."
"Whatever you want Princess."
Donghyun's sarcastic remark earned a giggle from Dongmin, but the laughter quickly dissolved into unexpected sobs. Concern flashed across Donghyun's face as he watched his friend's mood shift so suddenly.
