The leaves crunch under my feet as I walk by my old house near the lake.Nobody lives here anymore after I left; I guess word got around. All I can remember from last year was when Kelly decided to do it. She was standing at the edge of the lake, where the huge rocks pilled up.I regret everything I did, or didn't. I thought Kelly was going out for her daily swim. Her summer goal was to loose 20 pounds, she never told me why she just said she needed to get it done so everything would work out. Iv'e come here every year on the exact day of her death, I come an hour before she went in because I think about what I could have done to prevent it. She jumped in just like I watched her do the day before and like every other day I spent outside, taking a break from laying in my bed, watching Netflix, because I wanted to work on my tan, my sun block on the table besides me empty, I used it all up, hoping I wouldn't burn.
