"Keyrah, I'm going over there for a bit," Fatin said to Keyrah, who was sitting and playing with her smartphone.

"Okay," Keyrah replied without looking up to see where Fatin was heading.

Fatin moved quickly to the right corner of Tree Top Walk. She noticed a blue bird happily perched on a tree opposite her. In her excitement, she didn’t realize she bumped into someone.

"Ouch," Fatin exclaimed, rubbing her forehead.

"Sorry, but you bumped into me," said the person Fatin had collided with.

Fatin looked up and met the eyes of a man who was staring at her face. The man had short hair, wore all black, and had tan skin. 'Handsome,' Fatin thought to herself.

"Don't stare at me for too long," the man said, teasing her as he noticed Fatin just staring without saying anything.

The man laughed when Fatin still didn’t say anything. He ran his hand through his hair.

"Oh, sorry, I didn’t see you there," Fatin finally said to the man, giving him a sweet smile.

The man just nodded before handing his smartphone to Fatin. Fatin gave him a puzzled look.

"If I could, I'd like your number, if you don’t mind, because, well, people don't usually give their numbers to strangers," the man quickly explained his action.

Fatin laughed. "I didn’t say anything, I get it. It is a bit strange, but I don’t mind," she said before taking the man's smartphone and typing in her number.

"There you go, but it's kind of a little rude. You still haven’t told me your name, stranger," Fatin joked as she handed back his phone.

The man laughed, running his hand through his hair again before taking back his phone from Fatin. "I know, so my name is Firdaus. And you, my lady?"

"Okay, Firdaus, I’m Fatin," she replied with a sweet smile.

Some people don’t believe in love at first sight because they think it’s just a glance. But for Fatin and Firdaus, maybe their first glance held some special meaning for both of them.
