"your manager's pretty cute."

kuroo brings up, both him and
bokuto standing by the podium as
they watch tsukishima get
swarmed by the overly excited
hinata— now paired with an
also overly excited koganegawa.

an eyebrow perked up at kuroo's
comment.

bokuto koutarou
"yumimi? she's always been
cute!"

bokuto koutarou
"wait, is it your first time
meeting her?"

come to think of it, with how
close the cute manager and kenma
were, kuroo thought he would
have met her by now but his
childhood friend always had this
sort of protective persona when it
came to her.

but kuroo have always thought
nakamura mayumi was cute. he'd
seen her join in on kenma's streams
before. she was loud and expressive
and definitely not like the person
he met a while ago.

atsumu did mention something
along the lines of a "work mode"
earlier.

kuroo tetsurou
"yeah, i didn't expect her to be
so silent? i guess? but she's cute
nonetheless."

he replies, eyes stuck on the blurry
figures of mayumi and atsumu
walking away from the merchandise
stalls, disappointment seeping
through him as he lost sight of them
in the crowd.

bokuto koutarou
"oh totally, dude! yumimi's
like a different person when
she's at work. the duality
scared me at first but she's
always so cute after!"

bokuto comments, hands expressive
as he talked.

"i got to know her before work
cause she had classes with
akaashi, imagine the fear i felt
when she started calling me
'bokuto-san' all of a sudden
and didn't cry and complain
at every little occurrence like
she always does."

kuroo tetsurou
"oh, so she does have a work
mode. is there an off switch
for that?"

probably not his brightest
question yet but the person he's
talking to isn't exactly the
brightest either.

"trust me, me and tsumtsum
have tried to turn it off, but
the closest we've gotten to
it had her ignoring us for
days! she only talked to us
when coach needed her to
so i would very much not like
to do that again."

kuroo starts to wonder if he'd
ever be as close to mayumi as she
is with bokuto, given how she
seems so strict when it comes to
work. meeting her under work
circumstances made him lose
a little hope.

but he won't give up— not when
the manager's just way too cute.

kuroo tetsurou
"i'll make sure kenma will
never live peacefully for not
letting me meet your cute
manager sooner."

he mutters, already taking a
mental note of the long paragraphs
he'll be sending out to the gamer
later.

bokuto koutarou
"the poor guy looks tired
all the time, leave him alone,
bro!"
