The wheeler house was quiet

There was a knock at Mike's room door, Mike was in bed so he just sat there, the person at the door turned out to be his mom

"Micheal?" She asked and came in "Hi, honey, How are you feeling?" Karen walked to Mike's bed "I don't think I can go to school today" Mike obviously used this tragic event to skip school, but apparently Mike had something in mind...

Karen wasn't gonna force him to go to school especially when his best friend, just that night, was announced dead "Oh, that's Ok, sweetie."

Mike didn't think that would've worked, he looked shocked in the eyes but hid it to keep playing it off

Mike gulped and Karen continued "I need to drop off Nance, then I'm gonna check in on Barb's parents" there was a small pause in the sentence she's saying

"why don't you grab a book or something and come with me? We can stop by the video store on the way back, pick out whatever you want, Even R-rated..." Karen said offering Mike

Mike was consistent "I think I want to stay home today, I mean, if that's okay?" Mike sounded hurt, Karen couldn't just force her son to do something in this state so she caved

"Well, are you sure you're gonna be all right here by yourself?" Mike, still acting, says "I think so..."

Karen finally folded, she sighs and says "okay... But if you need anything, call Dad at work" they both exchanged okays and byes

Right when Karen closes the door, Mike shoots up and grabs his supercom and contacts Lucas by threatening to annoy him until someone interrupted him "I'm not gonna stop until you answer" no response so Mike retorted to annoyance

"Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, Lucas, Luca-" Lucas cut him off and said "go away Mike, I'm not in the mood alright, over and out." Lucas was gonna reach and turn his supercom off but Mike cut him off

"No!? Not out, I'm not messing around, oka-" someone cut Mike off, which Lucas thought was gonna happen

"Micheal, please shut up, I'm not in the mood and neither is Lucas, as he said, so just turn your supercom off and go back to whatever you were doing" right when Trey was done, Mike yelled "this is about Will!" That shut up both Lucas and Trey, they both started listening and talking

"Over..." Mike finishes "what about Will? You mean about his funeral? Over." Lucas asks, those words felt like daggers being thrown into Trey's chest

"No not about his funeral, screw his funeral" Mike says but Trey's harsh and hurt voice comes through and says "Stop. Saying. Funeral."

Lucas complied but was still confused so he said "what?" To mike and it seems like they both understood "just get over here stat, and bring Dustin, Lucas, since you live closest to him, Over and out."
