In his office, Namgung Dowi and Namgung Myung were interrupted by the arrival of important information, and the new Lord reread the paper with a clear expression of doubt.
"What's wrong, Lord? Is it an emergency?"
His uncle asked with slight anxiety.
"It's an emergency. But... are you sure this information is correct?"
The blue gaze stopped on the messenger, who confirmed immediately.
"Yes, Lord Namgung. It seems the Mount Hua's Chivalrous Sword is currently unconscious."
Namgung Myung finally partially understood the situation, startled by his Lord's quick rise.
"Uncle, please stay in charge while I go visit the commander."
"Oi, Dowi! Wait a moment!"
"There's no time to waste. If the disciple needs help, I need to be the first one there, as the Namgung Lord family who has him as a benefactor."
Without waiting for more answers, the Lord left, leaving his uncle and the messenger unsure of how to act.
Chung Myung felt his consciousness drifting in and out several times.Sometimes he heard some familiar voices, and then his mind would shut off again for an extensive sleep.
It was obvious that his body was not in its most normal and healthy state.
He would have to admit that perhaps he had pushed a little beyond the limit with that body still not fully mature or comparable to his old one.
Who would have thought that a little run and a bit of snow would leave him like that?
How pathetic.
He had no time to waste and yet he was now stuck in that bed.
His body felt sore all over, his throat felt dry, and his nose was too wet in contrast.
His head throbbed, and he still felt an uncomfortable cold even though he was sure he was covered in many layers of sheets. And there was still that continuous drowsiness. It almost felt like being bewitched and slipping into a coma or something foolish like that.
At least internally his body seemed to be reacting and fighting against that stupid virus, and that's exactly why he had so many intense symptoms.
But it was intolerable.
He wanted to get up from that damn bed and continue with his tasks that couldn't wait. Besides, he was missing out on very important days of training that he could never recover in the future.
