Lying in bed, I wake to the sound of a familiar voice.
"Adelaide Rozen, you're highness its time to wake up!" The voice says.
I open my eyes to see my chambermaid Abigail standing over me.
"Must I wake yet the sun has yet to rise." Backtalking her.

Abigail raised me when my parents disappeared at sea. She isn't old enough to be my mother but more like an older sister, if sisters were completely opposite in appearance. She was twenty-three when she became my gaurdian temporarily. She has long blonde hair mostly kept tied back under a head covering , just enough hair escapes that you can tell the color. Her eyes opposite of my green, a shade of blue, freckles dot her white skin. She is a bit shorter than me although she is older.

My parents were on their way to discuss politics with the other kindoms. Possibly a betrothal. I was merely sixteen when they departed. After months of no news of their arrival to their destination, they had been declared deceased. It was hard on me and the kindom, I wasn't of age yet to make the important decisions. The kindom of Crystallade had an empty throne for two years, mostly ran by a court of advisors and nobles they made it work while I had to familiarize myself with the political side of being queen.

Studying the nobles and the five houses. These houses are house Grey, House Griffen, House Thompson ,House Carlisle, and House Brooke. House Grey belongs to Villiers Grey , his two sons Cade and Erik Grey. House Griffen belongs to Valken and his wife Cillia. House Thompson belongs to Darwin, his son Erin, and his grandson Tarren. House Carlisle belongs to William Carlisle. Lastly, House Brooke, Harry, and his daughter Hannah belong to this house. It's important for me to know my nobles and their place in the system. Today, is my coronation, all noble will be in attendance so it will be good if I can recognize them, at least it's some familiar faces.

"First off ball gown is finished. Today, you have to get ready for the coronation ceremony." Abigail informs.
" The ball is tonight, right?" I ask
"Yes. Some of the neighboring kindoms royal families have arrived already, I suspect more by tonight." She answers.
" Have we prepared lodgings for them?" I ask concerned.
"Yes, that has been taken care of already they will stay in the castle until they depart. The other servants are with them now ." She continues
I finally sit up and slide myself out of bed, I look around seeing the Abigail has already brought me tea and breakfast. Today, Abigail has brought me some bread, some fruit preserves, and an egg. I'm eating a bit light so that I don't kill myself in my corset. I walk over to the small table and begin eating my bread as Abigail follows to do my hair. She pulls my long raven colored hair up, starting a top knot bun, braiding a few pieces to make it look more elegant. She has brought some small flowers, baby's breath to add into my hair. She finishes up adding the final touches. The white baby's breath makes the style of my hair look even darker. I stand up and walk over to the mirror, checking my green eyes. Nope, no redness. Thank God I thought to myself.

I turn around facing Abigail, and she smiles as if she I is proud of her handiwork.
"Now to get you dressed." She says while reaching for the petticoat. She has me step into it so she doesn't have to mess up my hair, pulling it up to my waist she ties it off.
"Thank you, Abigail. I am really pleased with the hairstyle you've chosen to do." I assure her.
"You're welcome, but it was fitting for today's event. It's very important. It's something everyone will remember, your coronation." She says
She continues helping me get dressed reaching for the part I dread most, the corset! She wraps the tourcher device around my waist and begins lacing it up. Pulling the silk ribbon through each eyelet.
" Okay, now to pull tight," she says, pulling at the ribbon.
I take a breath, feeling the pressure forcing it out of me. With a few strong tugs, she is satisfied with the corset and ties the ribbon, holding the corset tightly to my body.
"Why do you even wear these retched things! They are latterly the worst!" I exclaim.
"Makes your waist more eye-catching to the opposite sex. maybe even a suitor?" She says, giggling.
She reaches for the next piece of the skirt. Again, I step in, and she pulls it up, tieing it's laces to fit my waist. This part was way more easily tolerated than the damn corset. The bodice was the last part of my dress, again easy but it also laced up in the back. Abigail finishes this in no time. She wraps a cloak around my shoulders, and with that, I'm finally finished.

I look over at the mirror examining the ceremony attire. The skirt is red with white embroidery and intricate patterns. White pearls line the front of the bodice and the hem of the skirt. Elegant but not too distracting. The cloak a shade of white long enough to drag the floor. Abigail watches me examine the dress and smiles.
"OK ready to go?" She asks still smiling.
"I believe so, I'm nervous." I say looking down.
"You will be a wonderful queen , maybe the best. Just believe in yourself a bit more Adelaide. The carrage awaits to take you to the cathedral." She says
"Thank you, again. I don't know what I would do with out you Abigail. " I say as I look up to Abigail with a small smile beginning on my face.

Abigail walks be hind me grabbing the train of the cloak, I open the door of my quarters and head through the castle to the main door. I pass through the open doors and walk to the carrage, Abigail still behind me I enter the coach and she lays the train over my legs and closes the door. I hear the driver grab the ripens and flicks them against the horses giving them the command to go. I sit there in my seat, getting a sickening feeling in my stomach I try to calm myself down. I am so nervous and the carrage grows ever closer to its destination. With each click of the horses hoofs I grow more unnerving. You can do this Adelaide, it's just a silly ceremony saying that you are now the queen. I say to myself. I know that I can't make any wrong moves, hundreds of eyes will be watching, not to mention other kindoms royalty. Anything I do will be remembered forever, best try and stay calm. Who would want a queen who isn't confident in herself.

The carrage arrive in front of the large stone walls of the cathedral. This is it, could be the best moment or the worst moment of my life. The carrage stops and I am met by two male servants, one opens the door and the other grabs the train of my cloak. The servant that opens to door returns reaching for my hand helping me leave the carrage seat. I am the escorted by the servant to enter the cathedral, while the other holds the train up from getting dirty on the cobblestone streets. The door opens and I hear an announcement of my arrival.
" Everyone rise, the young princess Adelaide Rozen has arrived!" They announce.
I walk through the entrance and the servant escorting me leaves me. The other servant spreads the train of my cloak neatly on the carpeted isle.

The ceremony begins and I walk down the isle to the priest in the front of the pues. He goes through the regular routine of the ceremony, saying prayers and blessing my riegn to the throne. I say my vows to the people and turn around to face the full pues. The priest finishes his words and I lower myself for the crown. He places it on my head and I raise again looking at my subjects.
"All rise, for the new quee of Crystallade, Adelaide Rozen! Long live the Queen! And may God bless this kindom!" The priest announces.

I walk down the isle smiling at my loyal subjects, some faces I know others I don't. I reach the end of the isle and I am again escorted to my carrage to return to the castle but this time with a new title, Queen! The carrage arrives at the open doors of Crystallade castle, I see Abigail waiting for me just outside the entrance. The carrage stops and Abigail approaches the door opening it with excitement.
"Welcome home my QUEEN! I see you've survived the ceremony, even after being so nervous. See all you had to do is believe in yourself." She says as she helps me out.
" I am so ready to take this cloak off, it's very warm!" I say.
Abigail helps me remove the long heavy cloak and floods it in her arms. We enter the castle and the doors are closed behind us.
