HELP I FORGOT THIS EXISTED AGAIN IM SORRY

________________________________________________________________

That day, everything all came crashing down. Mrs Murray had died in a car accident, causing Mr Murray to breakdown and lock himself in and drinking alcohol. Then when he came into school, Jonah avoided him all day. And when Adam finally caught up to him, he received a slap on the face from Jonah.

Jonah was livid. So Adam made an attempt to explain.

"Jonah, listen to me-"

"No Adam! You always complain about not having any friends, and you're the one pushing everyone away! What has gotten into you??" Adam stayed silent. He was used to being insulted, but goddamn. It hurt to hear.

"..Did Sarah tell you what happened?" Adam raised his head.

"She told me everything. Adam, please. Please just cooperate with us."

Adam clenched his fists tightly. Of course she did. "I'm sorry, Jonah." Jonah saw Adam crack slightly. His cold heart had cracked. "Hey, no- no no no.."

Jonah wrapped his hands around Adam, hugging him tightly. Adam completely lost it. He let his tears run down his face, his eyes narrowing as he squeezed Jonah.

He just wanted some sort of warmth. Something in him was desperate for someone to tell him it was all okay. Jonah felt Adam squeeze him, hugging back as he pat Adam's back, hushing him and letting him cry.

Adam shut his eyes tight, crying in the middle of the hallway, everyone thankfully walking past them. Sorrow. All he could feel was sorrow as his ears started ringing and muffling everything around him. He blocked out everyone's murmurs and let his face get overrun by tears.

"I'm sorry..Please- I'm sorry. I don't know how to-"

"Adam. It's okay." Jonah whispered to Adam, a soft muffled cry leaving Adam as more tears ran down his face. "I'm right here, Adam. I'm right here."

Adam cried for about 10 minutes now, until then, he still hadn't stopped. He missed Mrs Murray. The funeral wasn't even held since no one cared enough to hold one. Mr Murray was too depressed to do anything and Adam didn't have any relatives left.

Jonah walked Adam to the Band room since it was the quietest place in school before Band practice started. He didn't know where else to let Adam cry. Jonah ran to the vending machine and bought a bottled drink for Adam and rushed to the room, shutting the door and sitting Adam down on the chair.

Cesar was about to ask why Adam was crying, being the mom of the group when Jonah signalled to keep quiet and a crying motion as Adam sipped the bottled drink. Cesar nodded and handed Jonah a small pack of tissues for Adam.

"It's okay, Adam. I'm here."
