Yoona's POV
A few days before our college classes even started, we, as newbies, have to sign in a bit earlier to be familiarized with the environment. It's my fourth day here and I kinda still can't get all the places right even with the map.
I was trying to get to the classroom we had to have class tomorrow, but I just can't find the building. All these tall buildings kinda made me feel dizzy.
"This is so annoying!!" I threw the map on the floor. "Ugh." I slumped onto the bench at the roadside.
Just then someone came up to me.
Jake's POV
I was just walking to my dormitory when I saw this girl sitting on the bench looking devastated. She's....so beautiful....With those grey eyes and dirty blonde hair....
But something's so familiar about her....It seems like I'd seen her before somewhere....But I just can't make it out....
I decided it's not important to think about this. The important thing now, is that I wanna get to know her.
I noticed the map on the ground. Looks like she's a newbie. Oldies like us don't need it anymore. And....It seems like she's lost....
I walked up to her. "Hey, are you okay?" I gave her a bright smile.
She looked up to me, looking a bit surprised but still smiled a bit. "Uh hi..."
I smiled at her. "Do you need some help?" I pointed at her map. "Looks like you're lost."
She looked up at me with a grateful smile. "I guess I could use your help...." She looks down while her hands lifts her hair and put it behind her ear.
I find her actions cute and beautiful.
I put out my hand. "I'm Jaeyun, third year here. You can call me Jake."
She looks at my hand and shakes it. "Yoona."
I froze. "Y-Yoona?" I reconfirmed.
She nods. "Yeah, anything?" She seems confused by my reaction.
"Uh...." I stammered. "Nothing I guess." I gave a light shrug and a small smile, but I can't help wondering if she still remembered....
"Is your surname....Kim, by any chance?" I looked at her.
She nods. "How did you know?"
"Uh...." I looked away embarrassedly and saw her map had her name. "I....saw your map..." I lied.
She looked at her map. "Oh right!" She laughs a bit. "So....Jake it is?" She tilts her head.
Jake. When she said Jake. I felt my heart pumping hard. It's just....Her voice is so soft and sweet. My name sounds so different from her mouth. "Yeah, Jake it is." I replied, trying to hide my blush.
She smiled sweetly at me. "Great! Now....Can you show me the way to XXX building?"
I nodded. "Sure, it's near the boy's dormitory. Let me take you there." I started walking and checked if she followed me. When we reached, she said a quick thank you and disappeared into the building.
"So, we meet again, Yoona." I smiled to myself.
I took out my phone, opened a chat box and texted my other 6 friends.
Group chat
Jake: Guys, I met Yoona again.
Sunghoon: Don't be kidding.
Ni-Ki: Hyung, you're playing with us again.
Jake: No I'm not kidding. It's really the Kim Yoona we know.
Heeseung: Seriously?
Sunoo: I think he's lying.
Jungwon: I don't think Hyung's lying....He doesn't make these low standard lies....
Jake: Hey what are you talking about!!
Jungwon: ;)
Jay: Jake you're not lying, are you?
Jake: No I'm not. It is the Kim Yoona we used to play with at elementary school, the one who got an accident before we all moved to another school! The one we played with 10. Years. Ago. It's her, I swear.
Heeseung: The neighbor?
Jake: Yes!
Sunoo: The blonde hair?
Jake: Dirty blonde to be specific, but yes!
Ni-Ki: The one with grey eyes?
Jake: Yessssssss
Jay: OMG for 10 years and she's back?!
Sunghoon: No no no I don't believe it
Jake: You have to!
Heeseung: I think I trust you.
Sunoo: Me too.
Jungwon: Same here.
Ni-Ki: Yeah I believe it.
Jay: It's real I guess.
Sunghoon: So it's just me who doesn't believe it I guess.
Jake: You'll have to believe it when you see her.
I kept texting them and forgot about the time. When I looked, it was already 7pm. "Shoot I'm late for the dinner I have with my friends!!!"
I kept my phone and ran in a fast speed back to my dormitory.
Yoona's POV
I finally found the building with the help of a guy called Jake. He was actually a bit familiar though....But I can't make it out where I'd seen him before.
"Maybe he's just one of my neighbors from somewhere or a classmate that I don't really know." I shrug.
But to be honest, he's kinda handsome and cute. He's that really bright guy that I think every girl would like.
"His third year here....Then he's my senior." I thought to myself. "I wish I can see him again...."
I put my mind off him and I get back to what I should be doing.
