She is sitting on the couch, holding a glass of water which I gave her. She stopped sobbing, I am keeping my distance and standing away from her, still keeping my eyes on her. Is she supposed to be my daughter? Who is she? 'You want something else?' I ask her calmly. She nods her head now. 'So, what do you want? Who are you? tell me—tell me why you're here...' I ask her. She puts the glass of water on the table and looks at me for a moment before speaking. 'I am Destiny, your daughter from the future—'

'Stop right there...how are you supposed to be my daughter if I haven't had kids yet?'

'Tomorrow, you, and mom are going to reconcile things over your dinner. You'll go to her house and that is where I am conceived.'

'How do you know about the dinner?'

'Because I am from the future, I already know what happens.'

'I still don't believe you. you could've heard me talking to her.'

'Knew you'd say something like that. Now I get why I'm always skeptical.' She says before taking out her wallet from her jacket pocket. She takes out her ID card and a few photographs of her and Judy. Her ID card is from the year 2055. Born in 2030. She's 25 years old. Photos are authentic, it really is Judy holding our daughter...Destiny but I still do not fully believe this, it could be faked.

'They could easily be faked, this isn't enough to prove anything.' I speak.

She lets out a sigh before speaking. 'I have the same birthmark as you' she says as she takes off her jacket and rolls up her sleeve. She has the same birthmark as me on her forearm. 'Look...' she continues as she looks me in the eyes. I walk a few steps away from her, still not fully convinced. 'Still not enough, right?' she asks. I keep staring at her forearm, the birthmark as she stares at me. 'I know that you used to steal in your youth' she says. 'I know that you had a friend in your childhood who drowned' she continues.

'Stop—'

'I know that you tried to kill someone and that you nearly succeeded but showed mercy'

'I said stop—'

'I know that you often see good in the most terrible people because someone did the same for you.' she says in a more aggressive tone.

'I said stop! How do you know all this?' I yell at her.

'Your journal. It has everything in it'

'How do you know about my journal?' I ask in confusion. No one in my entire life know about it, not even Lee or Judy. No one knows anything about it.

'Because I am your daughter!' she says.

'This is impossible—You really are my daughter. The aggressiveness shows.'

'Yes, I am. Now do you believe me?'

'I do...how is this possible—the whole traveling thing. How'd you do it and why—what are you doing here?'

'In the future, Time traveling is no longer an engineering problem but, we needed data and big corporations started conducting experiments—recruiting people and I signed up for the program.'

I walk towards her and grab her by the shoulders. 'Why would you do that!? Why!?'

'Because I am here to prevent an accident—your accident.'

'What do you mean my accident? What are you talking about?' she goes quiet with regret on her face. 'Tell me what you mean by that.' I repeat myself.

She looks me straight in the eyes, she tries her hardest not to cry. 'Please don't make me say it' she says. I do not know what to make of this right now. She walks towards the door to leave, and I stop her. I ask her where she's going and she tells me that she will be back soon, just wants to be alone for the time being. She leaves the house quietly while I can't think of anything. When I first saw her, she was holding the case file, what was she holding that for. I grab the file and look closely at it. This has always been a dangerous case and I have been warned, despite all that, still fought to get this case. Maybe this is what causes my 'accident.' I have to figure things out on my own now. I feel tired and exhausted. Destiny still hasn't arrived home, I am growing worried. I grab my jacket and head out to look for her. I head down the apartment to look for her, no sign of her. I go to William's store to see if she's there and I see her standing outside the store, alone. The store is closed. 'Hey...are you alright?' I ask. She looks at me but doesn't say anything. Her face still facing me but her eyes looking at the ground. 'Yes. I've been thinking about something' she says.

'What is it?'

'Nothing, it's not important' She speaks. Is she hiding something from me? What is she not telling me? Now isn't the time to question anything.

'What were you doing here all alone?'

'This is the spot where I hang all the time. After hours. But when its early, I go to the roof.'

'You know...when I was younger, I used to hang in an abandoned parking lot. Just wanted to be away from everything.'

'I know, I found your old journal. I know everything' I have been journaling since I was 17. It has everything there is to know about me—and I mean everything. 'The whole idea behind journaling was for it to be read in the future, my family. Meaning you. c'mon, let's go home' I say as I start walking back. Destiny follows me behind.

We went inside the apartment and I lay down on the couch. 'I thought I was getting the couch.' She speaks. 'No, you get the bed. Now go to sleep' I say. She goes to bed without saying a word and I fall asleep shortly after.
