Hanayama Kaoru looked at her in surprise. From the moment he laid eyes on her, he had felt a familiarity he could not place. His eyes followed her motions, her frame and looks, how she grabbed on to the thief. She was much smaller than him, but he saw a strength in her that was not like the average woman. How she lifted that man with no sweat. He had not seen any other woman do that. Now that she revealed her identity, the pieces fell into place.
"Hanma you say..." He fell back into his natural pose, as he let go of her hand. "You are a relative of Yujiro Hanma?", he asked her with interest, though his face and voice did not betray any of it. Mariya looked smug, "It seems you have heard of my father?". Another surprise to him. He stood silent for a moment, processing the new information. He knew Baki had a sibling, Jack Hanma, but he didn't know there were more...and a female no less. He had fought Yujiro Hanma once, right after the fight with Baki. Kaoru still remembered the blow that sent him flying into that wall. The strongest man in the world, who took whatever he wanted, victory and lives. Kaoru figured that this was to be expected. He studied her, she had the same light brown eyes, and her eyebrows that same arche. Having close bonds with Baki and his encounter with Yujiro, he knew those looks matched, but her energy was different. The vibes were not the same, and he wasn't sure if she was telling the truth or not, but even if it was a lie, she did help him get rid of the pesky thief on his grounds. He nods, keeping the info he had on Yujiro to himself.
"So Miss Hanma...what can I offer you?", he asked her. She looked up at him smug, and smiled a toothy grin, "There is something you can help us with.". "Us?", Kaoru said, looking down at her with a slight narrowness of his eyes. Mariya's eyes looked up into his, her neck craning a little, "Yes, me and my companion. We have some trouble with our stay here, maybe you have some ideas on how to fix that.", she says casually. "Hmmm...and where is this companion of yours?", he said as his eyes scanned the area. Mariya looked around herself now, she realized she had no idea where she was "Well...you see-", and then her phone rang. She fished it out of her pocket, "Hold on....Da? YA ne znayu, gde ya...wait...", she turned to Kaoru. "Uhm, could you do me a favor? I have no idea where I am...I kinda started chasing this prick without really thinking, I guess. My companion is across from the Black Hearts café. Do you know where it is?". Hanayama's gaze lingered on her for a second, and then he turned his body and called out to her over his shoulder, walking forward, "Follow me.", his answer short but simple. The man moved, and his group followed him. Kizaki motions for her to come with him. Mariya held her phone to her ear, "I'm on my way, just stay put...", she walked after the two men, "I have the bag, yes...yes...you'll see", and she hung up. She trailed behind them as she had no idea where they were going.
Kaoru looked straight ahead as Kizaki moved next to him. "Hé Boss...", Kizaki said quietly. "That's a big claim she made there... Are you sure she is to be trusted? We can take her out, just give us the call.", Kaoru kept silent for a few moments. He was thinking. Kizaki could see it. Kaoru's eyes shift to his bodyguard, "No, leave her be...for the moment.". Kizaki nodded at his boss's decision, even if he was still weary of the woman's intentions. They strolled along the road, turning some corners and then Mariya recognized the street they were in. She started dribbling forward, passing Kaoru and goes into the building across from the café. Kizaki narrowed his eyes, he had his knife ready for his boss to be ambushed. They stopped at the café's entrance when Mariya appeared again, followed by a woman. The woman smiled warmly down on Mariya as she chatted with her and Kaoru could see they were on friendly terms. Maybe that was her mother.
"Mister Hanayama.", Mariya gestures to the woman, "this is my companion, Yulia". Yulia strolled up to them, and came eye to eye with Kaoru. Needless to say, he was intrigued by her fysiek. Her red hair flowing in the warm summer breeze and her eyes bright, her full lips in a broad smile, and those muscles impressive. There were just a handful of women that matched Kaoru at his length, and it seemed she was one of them. Even Kizaki's grip on his knife became tighter as he saw the woman step forwards, her large frame impressing him too, but making him extra cautious. Yulia bowed to the men, "Thank you for bringing my sister back". She straightened up and gave them a large smile. Yulia continued, "I hope she wasn't giving you any trouble? She can be a handfull". Mariya had an annoyed look on her face and stepped hard on Yulia's foot, "Watch your mouth you little shit", she said with a gritted smile. Yulia didn't flinch but gave her sister a playful glare. Mariya introduced Kaoru, "This is Kaoru Hanayama, a big shot around here if you catch my drift", she grins and pulls an eyebrow, exchanging a look with Yulia. No one understood but them. Yulia chuckled, "I see, I see. Well, thank you again, Mister Hanayama."
