Chapter 9: The Forbidden Forest

The Next day

At Night

The group with Malfoy was with Filch.

Filch said, "A pity they let the old punishments die. Was a time detention found you hanging by your thumbs in the dungeons. God, I miss the screaming."

Oliver saw Hermione mouth something and smile but saw Ron scared as the group walked with Filch.

Once they reach Hagrid's house, Filch says "You'll be serving detention with Hagrid tonight. He's got a little job to do inside the Dark Forest."

Once the group stopped in front of Hagrid, Filch said, "A sorry lot, this, Hagrid."

Hagrid sniffles as he gets ready.

Filch said, "Oh, Good God, man, you're not still on about that bloody dragon, are you?"

Hagrid says "Norbert's gone." as he sighs, "Dumbledore sent him off to Romania to live in a colony."

Hermione said, "Well, that's good, isn't it? He'll be with his own kind."

Hagrid says "Yeah, what if he doesn't like Romania? What if the other dragons are mean to him? He's only a baby, after all."

Hermione holds Oliver's hand as they see Hagrid sad about Norbert.

Filch said, "Ah, for God's sake, pull yourself together, man. You're going into the Forest, after all. Got to have your wits about you."

Malfoy said, "The Forest? I thought that was a joke. We can't go in there. Students aren't allowed. And there are... *Then the group hears a wolf howl* ...werewolves."

Filch says "Ah, there's more than werewolves in those trees, lad. You can be sure of that. Nighty-night." and he walks away leaving the kids in shock.

Hagrid said, "Right. Let's go."

Later

In the Forbidden Forest

The group along with Hagrid was walking with Hagrid leading the way with a torch.

Once Hagrid sees something, the group stops as they look around.

Hermione still holding Oliver's hand pulls on his hand multiple times.

Oliver looked in her direction and saw a wolf.

Oliver gives her a nod to tell her everything is gonna be okay.

Oliver saw Hagrid stick his fingers in something as wolves were heard in the distance.

Hagrid stood up as Harry asked, "Hagrid, what is that?"

Hagrid says "What we're here for. See that? *as he holds his thumb and index finger together* That's unicorn blood, that is. I found one dead a few weeks ago. Now, this one's been hurt badly by something."

Oliver noticed Harry looking off into the distance.

Hagrid says "So, it's our job to go and find the poor beast. Ron, Hermione, come with me."

Ron said, "Okay."

Hermione asks "Are you sure I can't go with Ollie?"

Hagrid noticed their hands together and said, "I'm sorry, but I need him to do a very important job."

Oliver asks "What's that?"

Hagrid says "Can you take care of your cousin for me? And that's more of an order than a question."

Oliver nodded and said, "Yeah, I can." he flicked his wand and it turned into a bow.

Hagrid says "Ah, good. Now, Harry, you'll go with Malfoy and Oliver."
