3. CHAPTER II - A FRIEND'S GOOD NEWS

EDMUND'S POV

Two years later...

Two years had passed and now both I and Van live on the same apartment. It's been at least six months that we moved in this apartment which was in just a very convenient place cause it is near both to our working area. Van works on his dad's company as one of the directors and he focuses on sales, while me, after one and half a year of hard work I was promoted from junior manager to general manager which was a big shocked to me since I was one of the new comer in the hotel.

After I got promoted, it's a week of nonstop celebration and partying at my house with my friends and of course a blissful night with my beloved. It's like we're back in high school since all of my friends was there, well except Tina who is by the way helping her mom and my mom in the hotel and running her own fashion boutique at the same time. I wonder how she's doing right now. Does she have a boyfriend that will last and can survive her wild behavior at this time? I bet there still no one since the longest record up to date was three weeks. But she does email me that she's in love with a naive guy right now, a complete opposite of her.

I snuggle closer to Van when the cold breeze suddenly passes by the window. I look up at him. He's becoming more mature and handsome as time pass by and he did look more handsome when he's sleeping like a good boy, like an angel. I smiled and slightly pinch his nose.

"Hmmm... what?" he asked waking up. "You up?"

"Yeah." I stared at he's figure and playing my fingers on his toned chest.

"That tickles." Van said chuckling. "What? Something's wrong?" Inquired Van as he noticed that I'm staring at him steadily.

"Nothing, just watching your face... you do look more handsome now." I said not tearing my gaze at him and Van smiled a genuine one.

"You, too. You look more beautiful now." Van whispered nearing his face at my ears and caressing my cheeks. I blushed. No matter how long we had been together I still got blushed whenever he sweet talk me.

"Hey, you have work today, right? You better get up and start preparing."

"Yeah." He leaned on me, kissed me on the forehead and hugged me tightly the way he always does every morning when he wakes up. "Just five more minutes. Let me feel you first, k?"

I wrapped my arms around him, placing butterfly kisses on his shoulder blade and chest.

A sudden knock distracted me from my work. Looking up I saw, Jenny, my secretary. She's a beautiful woman three years younger than me and was assigned as my secretary right after my promotion.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Mowen. Sorry for my intrusion but Ms. Alice Reid is here to meet you."

"Alice? I wonder why she's here... Can you tell her to come in here?" I said as I close some documents in the computer.

"Yes, sir."

"Thank you, Jenny."

Not long then, Alice came in to view with a very trivial look on her face. She wears a lavender-colored casual dress. She sat down on the couch that was in front of my working area. I sat across from her eyeing her suspiciously.

"Come on. Spill it."

Alice looked down. A minute of silence build up inside the room. Suddenly, Alice chuckles. What? Was my friend now a crazy bitch for real?
