Chapter Foar Unpleasant Suprises

Before Dr. States left the academy he said that he might have another conference of kings soon so that all of the leaders can decide together on what to do about the growing power in the north.

On the other hand Bristal wanted to figure this out as soon as possible and tried to go to the northern mountains in secret but she realized she has no time to do anything she wants anymore." what am I going to do?'' she sighed then something shiny caut the corner of her eye she walked over to it to see what it was,

She turned to the globe and right above the northern mountains were the northern lights shimmering in the sky .They were back! Her eyes widened as she watched them dance in the sky, she lost all thought. She didnt care what others would think of her, she didn't care about the conference of kings she was going to the north right now whether her friends liked it or not.

So she made a plan to sneak out while everyone was asleep but there was one problem: she couldn't use magic or they would use a tracking spell on her and she had to make it past Horance without being notest. So when that time came she instantly raced for the hedge barrier and to her surprise Horance was gone she thought this to be weird since the knight was always at the entrance.

He never left his post, after all there was no reason to, now that magic is legalized the witch hunts stopped. But there was no time she had to get to the north before anyone noticed her sneaking out.
                                                            
Instead of taking the trail Bristal cut off into the surrounding forest.By now it was early hours of the morning and everyone was asleep she kept heading north for the mountains but she didn't get too far away from the castle grounds when she heard a far off noise.

It sounded like someone was being strangled and struggling to get free. Bristal followed the strange noise through the trees and stopped at a clearing.

It was Horance the night was off his horse and kneeling down on the ground with his hands on the sides of his helmet. Although he didn't make a sound, Bristal could tell he was in pain." Horance!" she said and rushed to his side

Horance held up a hand to stop her from getting close to him. Then he gasped for air and started to breathe heavily." I can speak'' he said through deep breaths

.Bristals eyes grew wide at the sound of his deep intimidating voice he even sounded like he would be the General of the northern kingdom's guard." are you hurt" Bristal said to him with a concerned gaze" why are you not at the castle? He said ignoring her question

" I was just taking a walk she said I just need a break sometimes" Bristal said.

"  Bristal, even though I barely know you I am very good at knowing when someone is lying to me… You're going to the Northern mountains aren't you?" Horace said without having to ask" How did you-" Bristal started but got cut off.  "Well for starters you are moving that way and  trust me I know this part of the forest like no other" he said, cutting her off." Please don't tell the others where I am going. Bristal pleaded " if they find out they will be furious that i didn't tell them.

         "Looks like I won't have to" Horace said and gestured behind her. She turned around and saw that Xanthous, Emrelda,Lucey,Skyleen and Tangerina were standing behind her and they all had the same expression of bewilderment in their faces''Ok since when could Horance Talk? And why are you going to the Northern freaking Mountains again?" Lucey asked. '' Look, we defeated the Snow Queen before so why can't we do it again.

I thought That maybe I could just see if it really was her to settle the tension between everyone so we don't have to worry about it. Bristal lied, surprisingly they believed her However, she didn't think that Horance did but he didn't say anything about it" we should go back to the castle and decide what to do together"Emrelda said Bristal was reluctant but followed.Horance also joined them when they got to the castle The first thing that he did was go find were his new room was to freshen up before they headed out again.

The fairy counsel gathered in the Office and before they could even start talking Bristal notest a dark shadow outside the academy it crept closer to the large double doors and then stopped the shadow then decomposed into four cloaked figures and they just stood there until they were noticed.

by now they had gotten the attention of a few of the students that were taking a walk through the grounds. Bristal and the others ran down to the front steps only to be absolutely stunned by what they saw.
