The ringing of my alarm woke me from my beauty sleep, signaling the start of another hectic day. I reached for my phone on the table and saw it was 6:00 AM. Slowly, I dragged myself out of bed to begin my morning routine.
After I was done I went downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was cooking.
"honey, did you sleep well?" she asked and I responded with a simple 'hmm'.
"what happened you don't look so good today?" she said with a worried expression on her face.
"I'm good mom don't worry," I said but ofc she didn't believe that.
"I'm your mom, Y/n. I know you're like this because today is your result right?" She asked & I nodded.
"I made a bet with riyaz that I was going to be the first this time. So, I'm nervous." I admitted.
"Why do you guys always make this silly bets?" She said as a chuckle left her mouth.
"He's the one who always challenges me!" I replied.
"Well, just do your best and don't stress too much, okay?" She said with a reassuring smile.
"hm, I won't," I replied before going upstairs to get dressed for school.
I glanced in the mirror, admiring myself before heading downstairs. After eating breakfast, I said goodbye to my mom

After a couple of minutes of wandering around the school. I finally spotted my best friend Jiya.
"Y/n, where the hell were you!" Jiya said as she ran to me.
"I was just searching for you!" I replied.
"Well, aren't you scared? I'm so freaking scared gosh I might actually die right here," Jiya said.
"I'm just as scared girl!" I replied.
"you're the topper Y/n! and here is me who barely passes my classes,"
"and what about riyaz huh? he isn't here yet?" Jiya asked.
"No i guess have you seen him?" I returned the question.
"I haven't that's why I asked you," Jiya said.
"oh yeah yeah whatever," I said heading towards our class.
"you guys made a bet again right?" Jiya asked. "uh, yeah?" I replied.
"what's the bet?" Jiya questioned.
"Um, the loser does the winners chores for a week,"
"damn, what if you loose?" she said.
"accept my fate I guess," I sighed.
She laughed, "Lol, my blessings are with you girl!"
