It has been a week since that day, and Thulir has ceased speaking to her sister. She now spends most of her time away from home, only returning at night to lock herself in her room. She leaves early for college, often waiting until the watchman arrives to open the main gate....
Her family decided to give her some space, considering she might be upset about the engagement being called off. Even her conversations with Agathiyan were brief. She knows she's punishing both him and herself, but at the moment, she doesn't want to talk to anyone.....
Thulir requires time to reflect and make a decision about her next steps. She is not inclined to make any rash decisions or to become a Mahaan offering forgiveness to those who have betrayed her...
Today, she resolved to return home early. En route, she stopped by the jewelry shop. Upon entering, she noticed Jayadev and Thuyavan sitting there, looking troubled. Thalir was resting on her father's shoulder, attempting to persuade him to accept the decision she had made...
"Appa please...I am not asking anything big Paah....Akka to went Thanjavur and stayed there alone right...then why I can't I go "
Thalir pleaded her father....Jayadev seemed reluctant....
"Exactly your akka studied in Thanjavur only 300 km....If I took flight to Trichy then I could be at her place in 2-3 hours or 6 hours through car....but you want to go to England "
"Indeed, if you take a flight from Chennai, you could reach me in half a day. "
Thalir reasoned out ...Jayadev shook his head again...
"Still no....how can I let you stay alone there knowing your fear....Take Thuyavan with you or I am coming with you I will shift all my works there till you complete your MBA ......That will be the best idea kannama...."
"Apppaaaaa.....no that's the worst idea paah..."
Thulir attempted to move away, not wishing to get involved in their conversation, but Thuyavan noticed her sister.
"Akka you came earlier today.....come and ask this Kuttisathan....she can't even come to hall alone at night and madam saying she wanted to live alone in UK..."

The son and father duo demanded 'Thulir'... She glanced around to see her mother and grandmother observing the scene disinterestedly, while her grandfather simply smiled at his son's drama....
Thulir signed and glanced at her father...
"If she wants then let her go appa....Someday she have to come out of her fear if she wants to do that now then let her do....She is 21 not 12 as she said you can reach her place in half a day......money and travel expense is not our concern Appa.....you own 2 private jets and you worrying about distance is meaningless.....Everyone in our family had to study away from home and you can't keep her nor me at home all your life....someday we have to leave....I hope you will understand "
Thulir said plainly and turned back to leave....Jayadev understood his daughter's foul mood.....
"Papa come here...sit with us...you can't lock inside your room always...."
Thulir took a deep breath she doesn't want to upset her father now...so she moved back and sat beside Jayadev on other side..
"How was your day?.....is it the same boring day ?"
"Just Tired paah"
Thulir said and leaned on his shoulder closing her eyes lazily....Uyir rolled her eyes at the father and daughter's trio...she noticed the jewelry bag in Thulir's hand...
"What is that Thulir??"
Uyir asked... Thulir simply lifted her hands toward her mother to receive the bag... Uyir took the bag and discovered a small box within it...
Uyir opened the box and furrowed looking at what inside it.....she narrowed her eyes at her daughter....Thulir signed and sat up straight.......Jayadev raised his brows at his wife to know what is that???
"Thulir it was you who stopped your engagement with Agathiyan now what is this???"
Uyir enquired showing other's what is inside it.....Thulir took a deep breath....
"Can't you see ammu.....That's Thali....don't you find it familiar??? "
Uyir looked at the Thali again and it hit her....
"This is my mii's"

Uyir's temper was flaring up..... she had reached her limit with her daughter's tantrums and mood swings. She had observed Thulir's disregard for her younger sister and Thalir's yearning glances that seemed to plead with Thulir.
Thulir stood up and moved towards her mother and got that box from her hands...
"Calm down ammu...why are you shouting see how calmly I am conversing with you.......and yes....I called off my engagement with Agathiyan...but that doesn't mean I won't get married......about my reluctance towards your younger daughter....you are free to ask her if she is willing to say then go ahead......Along with this Thali I want to say you all something which is important"

Jayadev enquired..all of her family member's attention was on her...
Thulir took a deep breath......
"I want all of your presence in register office Tomorrow at sharp 10 am....."
"Register office?? For what da kannu??"
Jaishankar asked his grand daughter with concern.....
"I AM GETTING MARRIED TO AGATHIYAN TOMORROW"
