Minho.
Minho's mom was feeling uneasy for some reason. As soon as Minho left, she kept feeling heavy, walking around the room in circles. Even Minho's close friend and group mate, Han Jisung, couldn't calm her down.
" Auntie, please calm down. I'm sure boss and Minho hyung will come in a few minutes, you need to rest " Jisung said and held the woman's arm, helping her sit down on the bed.
The woman only smiled weakly at him, even though she wasn't convinced. Her gut feeling was never wrong and she could feel something was going on, which isn't a good thing either. She sighed and sat down with the help of Jisung.
" Thank you Sung-ah. I don't know what Minho or I would do without you " she said in a gentle tone, caressing his soft hair in between her fingers.
" You're welcome auntie, I'm more than happy to be of a help. Plus, hyung is already under too much burden, I feel good thinking that I can ease any of your worries " he answered with a considerate look, flashing her a warm smile.
" You're the sweetest boy Sung.." She sighed and looked at her knees, taking deep breathes in to keep her mind clear and at ease.
Of course, Jisung didn't fail to notice and he was also starting to get worried as the time was passing by like a slow turtle. Soon there was nothing to even talk about, which was making the air feel much more heavier than it already was. Seconds were turning into minutes, minutes were turning into hours..
After what it felt like an eternity, a loud bang downstairs made both Minho's mom and Jisung flinch. He immediately stood up and took his pocket knife, standing in front of the woman in order to protect her, if there was any danger.
" What's going on? " the woman asked, with worry laced on her face. That made Jisung furrow his eyebrows.
" Auntie, I'll be going downstairs. Please stay in your room for any cases of emergency, since it's not obvious what's going on down there " Jisung said, marching towards the door, but a hand on his arm stopped him in his tracks.
" Son..please let me come too. I have a bad feeling in my gut and I won't be in peace until I see what's going on with my own eyes " Minho's mom said, not looking very good.
The look on her face made Jisung's heart swell. Oh, a heart of a mother, is the most precious thing in the world. A small sigh left past his lips.
" Okay, but please, make sure to stay behind my back the whole time. I don't want anything unfortunate happening " Jisung warned and held her arm, aligning her behind himself as the two walked out of her room, slowly marching downstairs.
There was an unusual sight downstairs, so many servants were surrounding the front of the door that, it was nearly impossible to see what was going on. But it wasn't hard to understand that, this gathering meant no good.
The woman could feel her heartbeat raising as she let go of Jisung, running past the servants to see what was going on, but it wasn't long before a scream left past her lips as she could feel the whole world crumbling down on her.
There he was, her husband, laying in a very miserable state on the floor, with his body covered in blood and bruises, all lifeless. Minho was standing above him and along the other a few dead crew mates of their, holding an unreadable expression.
" No, no, this is impossible.." She mumbled, a small cry leaving her lips as she fell on her knees, crawling towards her, now dead husband and slowly lacing her fingers through his.
" Y-your hands are so cold.. I'll warm them up for you.." She mumbled with a small smile, tears falling down her cheeks as he took his hands in hers, gently massaging and blowing warm air on them to warm them. But it was obvious that it was no use.
Minho felt terrible, he felt so.. useless. He couldn't even save his father, and now seeing his mother in such state, was breaking his heart slowly bit by bit. Though, he knew he had to be strong for her, for everyone in this household, for everyone who was and is under his father's gang.
His mom was hugging her husband tightly, small cries and sobs of sadness leaving her lips, her body trembling. Minho sighed, he hated seeing his mother in such state.
He carefully got on his knees next to her, placing an arm around her comfortingly. She leaned in, crying in her son's arms and the sight was enough to make anyone in the room to tear up at least or feel a pang of sadness.
" Mom.." Minho started in a soft tone, pulling her carefully in his arms, trying to be as gentle as possible.
" Your dad.. Minho..I feel so guilty, we even fought before he left, I'm such a terrible wife, I don't know what to think.." She sobbed, making Minho's heart break.
" Shh.. You know dad would never be mad at you even if you two argued for days, you know how much he loved you mom. Seeing you cry would make him even sadder, so I want you to keep your head up and smile yeah? " Minho said, hugging her tighter, trying to confine the sadness in himself.
The woman shook her head, her cries getting louder, not wanting to believe that her husband was gone, whom she was in love with, whom sue bickered with but cared for a lot. Sometimes we all know it's hard to accept reality.
" Take his body away and give him a proper burial in the grave near our mansion in the forest " Minho ordered the servants as they wrapped his father's body in a long white cloth.
" No! Don't take my husband away! He'll be fine, I know he's alive, he..he'd never leave me, not like this.." Minho's mom kept sobbing and Minho held her firmly in his arms, not letting her look at his dad's lifeless body, which was getting carried away.
" You have me, I'm still here mom. It'll be fine, everything will get better, I promise you. I'll find those who dared to pull our family apart and kill them one by one. I promise you " he whispered in a soft tone, wiping the tears on her cheeks.
But she refused to listen, not in a good state. It wasn't long before she passed out in her son's arms, dried tears on her cheeks. With a small nod of his head, Jisung helped Minho to carry the woman into her room upstairs, his own face carrying a pale look and a mix of denial.
" Make sure there are more guards around the house. After the burial and funeral is done, I'll take the trainings in my own hands " Minho said, his hand fisted as he finished tucking his mother under the sheets carefully, wiping her face with a cloth on the nightstand.
" Yes, hyung. Can I..stay with her? At least for now? " Jisung mumbled. He was feeling sad, Minho's mother was like a mother to him too. Jisung had lost his parents even since he was young, Minho and his mom found him on the streets when they were on a walk. He still remembered the day how little Minho was begging his father to let Jisung join the family and after some time, he eventually agreed.
Since those old times, Jisung has been living with the Lee family, under their protection. Already 9 years passed before that incident and now, Jisung was at the age of 16. He was also trained, also a part of the Lee Mafia Gang. Minho's mom always spoiled him and loved him like her own.
So, seeing her in this state, after losing her husband, made him feel like he lost his own dad for the second time, all over again. Minho turned to look at him and hummed.
" Yes. You can stay with her Sungie " Minho mumbled and patted his back, before leaving the room without any other word.
Jisung didn't even try to stop his best friend. He knew it was the hardest for him, especially losing his father. For now, he had to be alone to gather up his thoughts and start up from the very beginning.
" I'll console him later.." he sighed and sat down on the couch near the bed, pulling the covers up to the woman's neck to make sure she wouldn't catch a cold.
But little did any of the ones in the house know that, the death of Minho's father would change many things, especially in Mafia industry. The road would be high and low, with many unexpected endings. But Minho knew one thing for sure. He was more than determined to take his revenge on the people, who laid a hand on his family and tried to hurt them.
