A week passed in peace. Every day almost the same. Tara would watch TV, eat, shower, sleep... Derek would leave the house time to time and come back after hours.
She had never asked him where he went or what he did during the day, and she wondered what he did with that time.
The thought of asking him personal questions made her feel anxious. They were comfortable together, but she hadn't found the courage to take their relationship to that level yet. She didn't want to get that close to him just yet, as she was still hoping deep down that she could get away from him eventually.
She wasn't the kind of person to get attached to people that easily. No matter how nice Derek was to her, or how handsome and attractive he was, Tara knew that this was not the sort of relationship she should be involved in.
Therefore, despite the growing attraction she felt toward him, she reminded herself that she wasn't here to fall in love. She pushed away any feelings of liking him and focused on the fact that she was still planning to escape from him eventually. Maybe one day at least.
It was a Saturday evening when Tara was in her room, looking at the sunset sky from her window. Derek opened the door and walked in. "Hey baby girl.." he said and walked towards her. Tara smiled at him and started looking outside again.
Derek stood behind her, gently running his fingers through her hair as she looked out the window at the gorgeous sunset.
He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "the view out here is nothing compared to you, my sweet girl."
Derek wrapped his arms around Tara's waist and pressed her closer to him, his lips grazing her ear as he whispered, "you're absolutely stunning, you know that?"
She could feel his warm breath on her skin, sending a shiver down her spine as he continued to hold her close. She could feel his embrace getting tighter, his affection and care for her obvious in the way he held her. He gently nuzzled his face into the crook of her neck, his chin pressing against her soft skin.
Derek tightened his embrace, his lips skimming her skin in soft, teasing kisses. His hands gently wandered up and down her sides, drawing invisible patterns on her flesh and enjoying the feel of her soft skin under his fingertips. He whispered in her ear, "you feel amazing."
He pulled back slightly, his eyes scanning over her face, taking in every feature. He reached up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, his fingertips grazing her cheek gently as he did so. He looked into her eyes before moving his gaze down to her lips, his thumb gently tracing her bottom lip.
He said, "God, you're so beautiful. I just can't get enough of you." His voice was low and tender, his adoration for her evident in his tone and expression.
Derek continued to trace his thumb over her bottom lip, his touch gentle yet tender. Her skin tingled under his touch, a small shiver running down her spine as he touched her. He slowly leaned closer and kissed her softly, his lips just brushing against hers.
His kiss was slow and tender, and he pulled her closer to him, his arms wrapping around her waist. He deepened the kiss, his tongue slowly slipping into her mouth.
He gently cupped her face with one hand, his fingers tenderly caressing her skin. She reciprocated his kiss with equal passion, her body heating up at his touch. She could feel her breath quicken as he continued to kiss her, his kiss becoming more heated and fervent.
His other hand lightly caressed her back and pulled her closer into his embrace, wanting to feel more of her body against his.
His hand moved from her face to the back of her head, his fingers gently tangling in her hair as he deepened the kiss further.
