Okay, before we get started with the chapter...
Remember my last note where I said I had an announcement? Yes? No?
Either way, does anybody here like JJK?
???
Yes? Good. Because I'm writing a Ryomen Sukuna story... lol.
It's not published, or even really fleshed out just yet, but I don't think anybody was expecting this, not even me. I mean, Luffy and Sukuna are basically polar opposites, right? Tbh, maybe I just have a thing for making characters who have no interest in love, have a love-interest... I have no idea how this happened.
BUT, this is all part of my grand scheme to try and get out of my weird funk with this story.
To start off said scheme, I'd like to preface with this: this story will always come first to me. There's so much that I have to show you all, so much more to develop in (Y/n) and Luffy's relationship... I would never let this book die bro. The Coast Crew will live on!
However, I'd like to explain my dilemma. When you spend so much time thinking about one story for such a long period of time, you can get seriously burned out; which in my case has definitely shown in my writing these past few chapters, and I feel they haven't been as good as they have the potential to be. So, my solution is that whenever I'm feeling a bit too overstimulated with this story, I'll swap over to the Sukuna story. It will be taken a little less seriously than Coast, with fewer updates and a probably-not-as-thought-out storyline, but it will be there nonetheless. Hope that makes sense!
I have so much brain-rot with this story that it literally runs through my life all day, every day. Being able to switch that brain-rot to another subject (to sort of split it between them), will help me out immensely. Especially since this story has so much to it that I have planned, and it can get very overwhelming! I'll get to have a little break, without feeling so guilty for leaving you guys without content for so long. I've already given it a try with some simple storyboarding for Sukuna, and it seems to be working terrifically (as I'm hoping will show in this chapter lol)!
And again, please don't worry! I am not going to abandon this story. I love it way too much, I just need to make the workload that comes with it a little easier on myself; and I'm trying my best to navigate new ways in order to do so. A new outlet for a different idea will allow me to come back to this story each time with a fresh mindset and more of a hunger to write it, y'know?
With that, I'd like to thank you all so much for your continued support through all of my issues recently! I can't say it enough, really. I mean, 70k+ reads and 3.6k votes is absolutely insane. There's so many people a part of this crew, and I wouldn't have the motivation to make this story without y'all.
Alright, sorry for such a long note lol. Happy reading!

"Did... Did you get him?" The words exit quivering lips in a hush, as if any sudden noise will wake Eneru from his slumber, knocked-out after a riveting battle that had ended with a 'gum-gum rifle' to the man's body. Now, he was out cold, and lay unmoving among the broken boards of the Ark Maxim.
The cool air races across the ship's bow and rustles my hair from it's already unkempt mess, Luffy's straw-hat scraping against the nape of my neck at the disturbance; but my eyes stayed glued on the pale man, still too-afraid that he would wake like the undead. He had to stay down, he had to.
