They sat at the bar while Husk and Angel Dust were hooking up, Lucifer was looking at Vaggie.

"This wasn't an easy choice. My job wasn't to save souls, but she was different." Lucifer started, near tears to which Vaggie wasn't buying at first.

"Because she was a child?" Vaggie asked sincerely.

"She reminded me of Charlie.  I already lost Charlie at that time, I wasn't willing to lose another soul that was like Charlie." Lucifer nearly teared as he squeezed his knees.

Flashback

Lucifer was in his office, inventing his next game changing duck when a feeling in his gut hit him like never before.

"Oh god. I definitely need to lay off the...oh no." Lucifer realized as he disappeared and flew up to a small complex. Ember cried as she looked at the knife, holding back tears as she called her parents to no response. Crying as she took the knife, looking at her wrists and shook as the blade was about to cut when Lucifer burst through the floor. She stumbled as she stood up, confused as to who he was. He rushed towards her lively skin and tried to help her.

"No, no. Don't do this-"

"Who...¦who are you?" Ember cried as she picked up the knife and held it shakily.

"I'm...¦I'm not here to hurt you. I just want to help you." Lucifer cautioned as he stepped closer to her, heart racing as Ember shook.

"Hey, why don't we sit down and you tell-

"WHO ARE YOU?!" Ember shouted, covering her ears and dropped the knife to which Lucifer picked up the knife and disposed of it.

"My name is Lucifer and I'm the king of hell. I won't lie but I need you to be honest." Lucifer explained as he tried to uncover her ears to no avail.

"Leave me alone! Let me do this, I don't want to live anymore and you can't stop me!" She backed away towards the window and Lucifer tried to coax some information out.

"Why? What can be so terrible about-"

"People make fun of me! Make comments and as hard as I try to be normal for my parents, it's never enough! I don't belong anywhere and I let everyone down!" Ember said as tears poured down her face, Lucifer had empathy as he thought of Charlie. The atmosphere became tense as Lucifer tried to get her on his side.

"I never asked to be like this! Lucifer, I read everything about you! If there is a God up there, why did he create me like this? If I was created by..." Ember continued when a knock appeared at the door to which she ran towards the window and jumped.

"No, Ember!" Lucifer shouted as he rushed to the window, transforming into a bird and flying after her, hoping to catch her. Each flight Ember fell, the color in her face faded more and more. Lucifer flew faster than what he was used to, his heart racing, attempting to catch her. As he closed in on her and tried to grab her, she hit the concrete ground, blood left her body and her eyes became lifeless. Her soul went up instantly. Lucifer transformed back to himself shocked, his body became still as he bent down and saw the cuts on her arms, crying as he held her.

"No,no, oh no! I hope you're somewhere safe and that you can have peace. I just wished I could've convinced you to keep fighting a little longer. " Lucifer cried, hugging her tighter as he thought about Charlie and despite not being his own daughter, he felt her pain and couldn't imagine the pain her parents would face when they saw her daughter like this. As the sun came down, Lucifer quickly flew her back to the apartment. He landed and searched for a place to rest her which took a minute before finding her room. Entering, he saw the room was dark purple. She didn't have a lot of pictures but the one she saw was where she was looking down, unhappy and sees light scars on the picture. Blood seeped down his hands, shaking breaking down as he hugged her, figuring out a place to lay her. He saw an octopus plushie and held back more tears as he laid her on her bed, placing a Rapunzel doll between her hands and kissed her head before looking back at her dead body and disappearing back to hell. Back in his lair, he kneeled by his desk and cried the rest of the night.
