Intoxicación alimentaria. / Food poisoning.
Cristales de oxalato de calcio y asparagina (proteína hallada en la planta). / Calcium oxalate crystals and asparagine (protein found in the plant).
Síntomas: Ardor en la boca garganta, daño en la córnea (capa transparente externa del ojo), voz ronca, dificultad para hablar, hinchazón y ampollas en la boca y/o lengua ‑ Las ampollas y la hinchazón en la boca pueden ser lo suficientemente graves como para evitar hablar y tragar con normalidad. / Symptoms: Burning in the mouth, damage to the cornea (clear outer layer of the eye), hoarse voice, slurred speech, swelling and blisters in the mouth and/or tongue - The blisters and swelling in the mouth can be severe enough to prevent normal speech and swallowing.
Tratamiento: Limpiar la boca con un paño mojado y frío + dar leche de beber. / Treatment: Wipe mouth with a cold wet cloth + give drinking milk.
Dosis letal: 0,20g. / Lethal dose: 0,20g.
Antídoto: No existe. / Antidote: None.
