Seokjin ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair, a thousand emotions behind the emotionless mask he put on. He trusted Namjoon and Yoongi to find out who was the man that dared to force their maknae in the most disgusting manner possible.

The man who was the reason why their maknae was currently in the hospital, unfocused eyes staring up at the ceiling with unshed tears in them. Seokjin swallowed a lump in his throat.

"You're safe now," he whispered again but Jungkook hardly seemed to register it.

Hoseok entered the hospital room, Taehyung and Jimin close behind. Jimin's red-rimmed eyes met Seokjin's.

"We bought some snacks from the canteen downstairs," he told Jin, raising the paper bag a little to show it to the older.

Taehyung appeared pale, finding it hard to digest that his best friend had been— he shook his head and shifted his gaze away from the maknae.

Hoseok took a seat opposite Seokjin.

"Baby, it's Hobi. It's me, okay?" said Hoseok, before he gently took the boy's hand in his own. Jungkook didn't regard him though, continuing to stare at the ceiling. "We got you snacks, bunny. I'm pretty sure you're hungry, hmm."

Jungkook only blinked.

"Just a few bites," Seokjin said softly.

Jungkook finally shifted his gaze from the ceiling to the oldest hyung. His eyes slowly teared up and Seokjin wrapped his arms around the younger boy, cradling his head as Jungkook began to sob.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry, hyung. I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry? What the heck are you even apologising for?" Seokjin asked, blinking back tears that threatened to fall. He could tell Hoseok wasn't doing any better. Taehyung had walked out of the room, unable to bear it and Jimin had followed him, tears trailing down his rosy cheeks.

"It's my fault."

"How can it be your fault? You didn't want it. You didn't consent to it yet he—he forced you. It wasn't your fault."

"I should have been able to...to protect myself. I should have—"

"No, he should not have touched you when you were clearly against it. You're not to blame. He is!"

Jungkook gripped Seokjin tighter, "I feel so dirty, hyung. I feel so dirty. He should have just k-killed me."

A sob echoed in the room.

But it didn't belong to Jungkook.

It was from Hoseok, Jin realised.

"Jungkookie. No. I...No. I am so...so fucking grateful that you are alive...and if anyone should feel dirty...should be disgusted. It is him! If anyone should be dead, fuck it should be him! Not you. I... don't ever say something like that."

Seokjin allowed Hoseok to pull the sobbing maknae into his arms as he took in a shaky breath.
