1. Wasted opportunity.

Charles

I twist the pen in my hand and between my fingers, because the teacher recently pointed out to me for the seventh and, according to her, last time about making noise when I turned it on and off. I prefer not to test her patience and words, only to end up later in the library for the extracurricular activity of reading, or arranging alphabetically the books on the shelves. Although there are also advantages. I wouldn't be alone there, Pierre has been sitting there Monday through Friday for a month now, because he came up with the brilliant idea to put a rubber squish on the math teacher's chair. And without hiding it, the sight of that woman's face when she wanted to get up and green glop was dragging from her pants was one of the best sights in the whole world. However, this story does not have a good ending. My funny, smart and damn good-looking friend completely forgot that after the last issue, this woman asked for cameras to be installed in the math room. The very next day, Pierre's parents were summoned to the school to sign an agreement for him to visit the library until the end of the semester. If they hadn't agreed, the boy probably wouldn't have passed math. With this woman, there are rules to follow. I only learned it after the seventh visit to the librarian, who is also, by the way, a terrible whiner.

"Do the assignments on page two hundred and eighteen, and I'll be back in a moment. I have an important call to make." says the teacher suddenly, after which she gets up and leaves the classroom.

Everyone concentrates in complete silence on reading the instruction, which shows how afraid they are of a woman who, without reason, can take anyone to the blackboard and ask a question from the extension to put a one. I, unfortunately, do not count myself among all those people, although I have tried many times. I continue to flip a pen between my fingers, because I know my mathematical abilities and they are in the textbook for freshmen in elementary school. Why should I waste my time on something I won't do anyway? Just reading these instructions is comparable to reading Chinese, which I don't know how to do.

"She probably went to make life miserable for another student." Pierre turns toward me, rolling his eyes.

"You better not say anything anymore, because you won't have a vacation" Alexandra replies to him, handing me her notebook, in which all four tasks are done. "And the plans are fucked, man."

It's good to be friends with a math brain.

"Thanks."

I lift the corners of my mouth up and start writing down all the answers and actions.

"Fucked up plans, baby?" parries the boy, at which the gray-haired girl next to me slaps him on the head with a ruler. "Ouch! What are you doing, viper?" he massages himself over a sore spot with a puffy face.

"Don't call me cat, or next time you'll end up like my cat."

"Cat?"

"Castrated" I reply, not taking my eyes off the neck."How's the library, Pierre? Have you picked up that librarian yet, or are you still planning to visit there after this punishment to sigh at the sight of her?" I change the subject, glancing at the brunet, who rolls his eyes once again out of embarrassment and turns towards the board.

That is, after the conversation.

Alexandra parries with a short laugh, picking up her notebook as I put the last dot in the task.

"And how's your Dexter?" the boy turns to us again. "And no wait... He doesn't want you." He pretends to be sad.

I press my lips into a thin line, not wanting to get unnecessarily upset.
