Why I don't fear death?

In the darkest shadows, I find peace,
For in death, my fears do decrease.
No ties of relations, no worries to keep,
Just lovely, eternal sleep, so calm and deep.

After life's journey, our paths find their end,
The peace we find in the arms of death, our dearest friend.
Why fear death when we can embrace it,
For we never found solace in life, not even a bit.

No pain to bear, no tears to cry upon,
Just sleep in peace, remembering the life that's gone.
