Akshara was standing before the wardrobe mirror combing her hair and getting ready to leave to their home. Their suitcases already packed and loaded . Her heart was filled with happiness, they were atlast going back to their home after so long. Now that the time is near, her heart ached more to just step into their abode with her happy family in the heavenly weather of Kasauli.
Just as she was lost in her thoughts, she felt a strong pair of hands circling her waist pulling her closer . She smiled at her husband's reflection on the mirror.
" Kya soch rahi hai aap?" Abhinav questioned placing a soft kiss on the nape of her neck sending shivers down her spine.
" Kuch nahi Abhinav bas aise hi.. " she blushed slightly pushing a strand of her hair behind her ear.
" Bataiye na.. " he whined tracing his stubble along her cheeks playfully.
" Abhinav... I was just thinking how much have happened in this last few months. It has been such a roller coaster ride. But in all this you have been my huge pillar of support, my rock. If not for you, I'm not even sure if I would have been al.." Before she could finish the sentence , Abhinav turned her around and placed his hand on her mouth.
" What are you saying Akshara.. aise baat mat kijiyega.. till I'm alive I won't let anything happen to you and Abhir. I will protect you with my life . " he said cupping her cheeks.
" I know Abhinav. I know. Mei toh bas..." she trailed off when Abhinav cut her in middle
" Bass kya? This is the last time Akshara.. I don't want to hear you speaking like this anymore" he instructed with a frown
" Theek hai baba.. sorry.. nehi bolungi ..now smile na.. you dont look nice with this frown" she caught her ears and apologized
Abhinav remained adamant and turned his face away from her, still not smiling.
" Abhinav .. sorry toh bol rahi hoon na.. please" she pleaded trying to make him face her .
But he still avoided looking at her directly.
" Achcha.. mere patidev itna naraz hogaya?" She asked in a baby voice, tiptoes closer to him , closed her hands around his neck and placed a kiss on his cheeks .
Atlast he looked at her , but still not smiling.
" Abhi bhi gussa ho?" She questioned him.
He turned his head sideways and showed the other cheek.
Akshara laughed with a blushing face and shook her head at his cuteness and placed another kiss on the other cheek.
" Ab theek hai?" She asked
He nodded his head as the smile returned to his face. He hugged her closely as she rested her face on his chest hearing his heartbeats calming hers.
" Abhinav.. I'm very happy today. Atlast we will be going back to our house. We three, we could Start our happy life again. Eventhough I have visited our home in between , the last memory I hold is when we left for mimi's birthday which is like almost a year back. I can't wait Abhinav.. I just can't wait ... stepping into our house holding your hand and Abhir's .. that's all I want.. I want to cook in our kitchen, sleep in our bed, walk in our garden. I just love our home so much " she kept on speaking about their house while Abhinav kept on admiring her .
He couldn't help but notice how her eyes twinkled with excitement when speaking about their house.
" Just a few hours more Akshara, we would be in Kasauli." He assured pushing a strand of her hair behind her ears.
