neil powell leant against olivia's locker the next morning. the blonde let out a very unsubtle groan when she caught sight of him. he was a jock and a nuisance and olivia disliked him insane amounts. but he never really seemed to notice her disgust, he'd been trying to get her to give him a chance for years. something else he apparently hadn't noticed was her obvious disinterest in boys at all, but she probably could've stood on the roof of the school and screamed she was a lesbian and he'd still hit on her. surprisingly it had been a while since he last irritated her, olivia didn't like being on his radar again. "wyatt," he grinned at her. "can you get out of my way?" olivia asked. "you going to noel's party?" he asked, ignoring her request for him to move.

"why?" olivia asked, backing away from her locker exasperatedly. "i was thinking we could go together," he said, that wide grin still fixed in place, olivia wondered whether it had an effect on anyone. "no thanks," olivia sighed. "i'm not interested, just like every other time." he backed up from her locker, a mock wounded expression splashed across his face that olivia didn't find endearing at all. "you'll come around," he shrugged. "you'd be crazy not to." he flexed his muscles as he walked backwards. "i mean, look at all of this!" olivia scrunched her nose up in disgust. "you're an egotistical dick!" she called after him, gathering a few confused looks from the people around her.

"do i even want to know what that was about?" olivia thought her morning couldn't get any worse, she had obviously been very wrong. "i don't think it's any of your business," she replied, pulling open her locker door so that it shielded her from having to look at aria montgomery. "you and neil powell?" aria moved around the door so she was face to face with olivia. "when did that happen?" olivia scowled at her. "did that interaction look like anything was happening?" she asked. "what are you, jealous?" aria flushed bright red which olivia chose to not make a snide comment on.

"no, of course i'm not," aria regained her composure as best as she could while olivia yanked her textbooks for first period from her locker. "you can go to noel's party with whoever you want." olivia gritted her teeth, aria didn't need to play dumb about their past relationship when it was just the two of them yet here she was, still acting like she didn't care at all. maybe she didn't, every single one of her actions should have proven to olivia that she couldn't care less but olivia liked to think that one day the reality of her feelings would hit her hard.

"you and i both know i don't want to go anywhere with neil powell," olivia closed her locker door, locking eyes with aria for the first time since she'd approached her. "and you know i have zero interest in guys, but you don't really care, right?" she asked. "it's not like that," aria sighed. "then what is it like?" olivia tilted her head. "actually, i don't care." she smiled bitterly at her. "tell someone that gives a damn maybe," she shrugged. "but we all know you won't." aria shook her head with a small scoff. "you can be a real bitch liv, you know that right?"

"i've been told," olivia said. "by you actually, but we all know i'm just telling the truth." aria took a step back from her. "well i guess i know where we stand." she turned and walked away from the girl. "took you long enough," olivia muttered under her breath. their agreement had always been to be civil for the sake of their friend group and maybe at times she felt herself letting her guard down a little too much around aria but she couldn't afford to let the girl in again. she wasn't prepared for the heartbreak that came with aria montgomery.

"a party?" her mom asked worriedly. "who's party?" olivia pulled the zip of her mini skirt up, ignoring the look of disapproval her mom gave her outfit. "noel's party," she said. "he has it literally every year." her mom frowned. "you didn't go last year." that part was true, she'd been invited of course, just like every other year but she was also told that she couldn't bring kalani or iris so she'd ended up staying at home. "i'm going with spencer," she said. "and the other girls will be there too."
