Sunni (a.k.a. Nini)

I stood in front of the mirror straightening out my shirt and trying to calm myself down. I was praying everything went to plan tonight, and most of all, I was praying Diety enjoyed herself. She's been stressed about the whole Megan thing and I wanted to do something to take her mind off of it.

I've wanted Aphrodite to be my girlfriend for a couple weeks now. I wanted her to be my wife in all serious, but baby steps you know. After our talk on Sunday, I hung up and immediately started planning this date tonight, making reservations and bookings.

Once I was satisfied with my outfit, something simple but formal enough for where we were going. I grabbed the huge rose bouquet from my bed so I could head to the car. I pulled out my phone to call Diety as I walked down the steps. It rung twice before she answered.

"Hi baby!" I couldn't do anything but smile at how giddy she sounded.

"Hey pretty girl, I'm heading to my car now. Are you 'bout ready to go?" I asked, turning my downstairs lights off.

"Yes I am, I got all my stuff I'm just taking pics in my mirror..." A moment of silence passed before she asked me a question, "Where are we going?"

I chuckled, "You know I can't tell you that. I said dress nice and pack a spend the night bag, that's the only information you get."

"Can you at least tell me if we're going to more than one place? Something fun, something outside?" She begged, and I could imagine her pouting on the other end of the phone.

"I cannot baby, be ready I'll be there in 15." I said, fumbling with my keys as my hands were full. I got the door to lock as she replied, "Fine, drive safe please." And the line went dead.

I just silently laughed at her wishing me well while still trying to have an attitude. I made my way to the car and set the bouquet up nicely in the passenger seat before going to my side. I pulled out of my driveway and took a deep breath, turning my music up to drown out my nervousness.

I don't know why I was so nervous, I just really wanted tonight to go well.

Lost in my thoughts most of the drive, I didn't even realize I made it to Diety's apartment until I got to the front of the building. I pulled up and put my blinkers on, running inside to go get her.

I got on the elevator, and as it opened to her floor, there she was right in front of me. I smiled, her hair was different than last time I saw her. A side part with loose curls touching her mid-back, but it didn't look like a wig so it may be a quickweave. She had on a pretty yellow dress that reached her ankles, freshly done toes with some Tory Burch sandles on.

She looked me up and down before meeting my eyes, "Hi papa." Her sheepish smile told me she already knew what I was about to say.

I pulled her into a hug, gently rubbing her waist, "Hey baby, you know I was comin' to get you. I told you to stop meeting me halfway."

She looked up at me with a pout, "But I saw your location pull up and I was too excited."

"I know, but still you need to wait," I pecked her pouty lips.

She nodded, and I took her duffle bag which I assume was her spend the night bag. "You look beautiful, I like yellow on you."

Diety smiled and blushed slightly, I could tell because her nose gets a little red. "Thank you, you look pretty too. I always love you in a button down."
