My PoV

Standing on the Bullhead, I observed the bustling activity around me. I spotted Ruby and headed towards her, overhearing snippets of conversation about knees but choosing to ignore it, announcing my presence instead.

"Hey there, Ruby." She jumped, making a eeping sound. "Cough. Hi Alex." The busty blonde next to her coughed. "You two know each other?" Ruby nodded. "He was the one I was telling you about." This seemed to please the blonde. "Oh, I thank you for keeping my sister safe. I'm Yang Xiao Long."

I gave her a nod. "Welcome. I'm Alex Orr. And it's nice to meet you, Little Light Dragon." Both of them looked surprised, and Yang studied me with an unreadable expression. "How did you know what my name meant? Most people don't."

"Your name is Chinese, and I know a bit about it since I love Chinese food." She nodded, a small smile resting on her face. "I see. Well, then, I must say it was a pleasure to meet you." I smiled. "Likewise. So, Xiao Long, see you two-dragon-later!With that, I left.

Yang's PoV

I stared at the retreating figure of Alex in shock. Did he just make a pun out of my name? I'm going to pummel him! Suddenly I hear Ruby trying to get my attention. "Yang.Yang!" I looked over at her. "What?!" She pointed at the faded figure of Alex. "Did he just make a pun out of your name?" I nodded. "Yeah, he did." Ruby then smirked. "Now you know how it feels." Before I could retort, a guy rushed past us.

"Uh, Yang?" I glared at her. "What?" She pointed at my shoes. "You've got puke on your shoe." Looking down, I realized she was right, so I started chasing her.

My PoV

Disembarking from the Bullhead, I made my way towards where the other students were heading when I heard an explosion. Curious, I went to investigate. Arriving at the explosion site, I found a white-haired individual reprimanding Ruby. Deciding it was enough, I intervened.

"Alright, you spoiled brat, she said she was sorry." The brat then went off on me. "How dare you! Do you even know who you're talking to?!" I shrugged not caring. "I couldn't care less about who you are, but if you continue disrespecting Ruby here..." I grabbed my shotgun, loaded Dragon's Breath, and aimed it at her. "I'll give you a real reason to complain. Do you understand me, Princess?"

Suddenly a mysterious figure appeared, and spoke. "It's Heiress, actually. Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee company, one of the largest producers of propellent in the world." Weiss, as her name was just told smirked at the recognition. "Finally, some recognition!" I glared at her, taking the safety off my shotgun. "I will drop you if you don't shut up."

"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." Weiss didn't like that. "What—How dare—! The nerve of—! Ugh!" She grabbed a vial from Ruby's hand and stormed off while the other girl walked away. "I promise I'll make this up to you! I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day, what's" Realizing the girl had left, Ruby fell to her knees.

"Welcome to Beacon." I smiled, even though I knew she wasn't talking to me. "Thanks, and to you too." Remembering where I was, she laughed before standing up. "Hey, I'm Jaune." Turning, I faced a scrawny blonde and introduced myself. "I'm Alex." Ruby replied next. "Ruby." She then began to snicker. "Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship?" Soon, we started walking around the campus.

"All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on." Ruby chuckled. "Look, Vomit Boy was the first thing that came to mind." I snickered. "Oh, yeah? Well, what if I call you Crater-Face?" I laughed at that, receiving an elbow to the gut, from Ruby. "Hey, that explosion was an accident."

"Well, my name is Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it!" I stared at him for a few seconds. "What are you on? And if you have any, can I have some?" Ruby then replied. "Do they?" I held back a snicker, as I watched Jaune's shoulders lowered in defeat. "They will. Well, I hope they will... I mean, my mom always said that... Never mind." Ruby and I just laughed.
