"Rise and shine Haruka!"  Kaito yelled as he knocked on his daughter's door.  Haruka sleepily woke up and yawned as she stretched.  She immediately got up and got ready for the day.

The sun hasn't risen yet, but there was that morning light that typically happened just before the sun starts to rise.  Haruka was used to getting little sleep since she usually snuck out to train.  Her father always wakes her up super early to do some special training with him.  The training covered more of the Sato clan techniques.

The Sato clan was known for their ability to control their chakra more than the average or even above average shinobi.  They could sense and distinguish different chakras depending on the person.  It takes years to master this technique, but Haruka was already half way there.  She was the Sato clan's prodigy.

Maybe that's why she got along with Itachi so well.  He is the Uchiha clan's prodigy of their infamous sharingan.  They specialize in genjutsu and some fire jutsus.  Both Haruka and Itachi knew what it was like to have the weight of their clan on their shoulders and the expectations that come with being a prodigy.

Haruka was capable of graduating the academy early, but her parents wanted her to stay until everyone her age graduates.  She was taught to conceal her abilities and to never let anyone know how much of a prodigy she was.  At least, outside of the Sato clan.  Her best friend, Naruto, doesn't even know.  She's used to down playing her abilities in the classroom as well.

"Let's start with our warm ups."  Kaito instructed.  Haruka and Kaito were in the basement of their home.  Her training was usually done there to give them the privacy they needed.

Haruka sat on the floor in a crisscross position.  Both Kaito and Haruka sat in silence with their eyes close.  They were meditating.  This helped Haruka take her time to feel her own chakra and the flow of it.  The more she understood her own chakra and how it worked, the better she'll be able to understand other people's chakra.

After Haruka's breathing finally became steady, she could feel the flow of her own chakra.  She could visualize and even feel the pathways her chakra took to circulate throughout her tiny body.  She sensed it all the way from the top of her head to the tip of her toes.

30 minutes had passed and Kaito broke the silence.

"Let's move on."  He instructed.  Haruka has been progressively getting faster at sensing her own chakra, so it was time to move on to sense others.

Kaito demonstrated the hand sign she was supposed to make in order to activate the jutsu to sense others.  "Now try distinguishing my chakra with yours."

Haruka activated the jutsu and she could feel a surge of power from within.  She immediately felt her father's chakra.  She only knew it was her father's because he was the only one in the room with her and his chakra had a lot more reserve than her own.  But that's not what she was supposed to sense.  It had to be something that was unique to him.

She tried searching for the differences for another 30 minutes, but came up with nothing.

"You did good on your first try."

"That was terrible."  She admitted.

"Haha don't be so down.  Most kids your age can't even activate the jutsu, but you were able to.  Be proud of that."

But Haruka wasn't.  She was frustrated of how much she still didn't know.  There was also something that bugged her about her own chakra.  She felt like it wasn't all her own...  But that couldn't be right.  Right?  At least, that's what the young academy student had assumed.
