Jason's POV

As I descended into the basement, the air grew thick with tension. The dim light from our flashlights barely penetrated the darkness, casting long shadows that danced along the stone walls.

Then, I saw her. Natalie, lying motionless on the floor. My heart lurched, and before I could stop myself, I shouted for the others.

"Guys! Come quick!" I called out, my voice echoing off the cold walls.

Lisa's POV

As I paced nervously in the dimly lit living room, the sound of hushed voices from the basement caught my attention. Adrian, Julian, and Harvin were down there, and something in their tone sent a shiver down my spine.

I hurried down the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest. The sight that greeted me was one of horror—Natalie lying on the floor, her body battered and bruised.

"What happened?" I asked, my voice trembling as I approached the group.

Adrian turned to me, his expression grim. "We don't know," he replied, his voice barely above a whisper. "But we need to figure it out fast."

I glanced around the basement, my mind racing with fear and uncertainty. Whoever had done this could still be lurking nearby, waiting to strike again.

"We need to get everyone down here," I said, my voice urgent. "We can't do this alone."

Without hesitation, I rushed back upstairs, my footsteps echoing off the cold walls. As I reached the living room, I called out to the others, urging them to follow me to the basement.

"Something's happened to Natalie," I said, my voice trembling with emotion. "We need to go see."

With a sense of dread weighing heavily on our shoulders, we made our way back down into the basement, each step bringing us closer to the truth. Whatever awaited us down there, we knew that we had to face it together.

As we gathered in the dimly lit basement, the sight of Natalie lying on the floor sent shockwaves through our group. Chanelle remained silent, her brow furrowed in deep thought, while Vivienne looked visibly shaken, her hands trembling at her sides.

Callista stood nearby, tears streaming down her face as she struggled to comprehend the horror before us. Michael stood stunned, his usual confident demeanor replaced by a look of disbelief, while Sheena remained as pale as ever, her eyes wide with fear.

"We need to figure out what happened here," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "We can't let whoever did this get away with it."

Chanelle nodded in agreement, her analytical mind already at work as she began to assess the scene for clues. Vivienne, though visibly shaken, remained determined to help in any way she could, her fear masked by a steely resolve.

Callista wiped away her tears, her expression hardened with determination. "We can't let Natalie's death be in vain," she said.

Michael nodded in agreement, his jaw set with determination. "We need to find out who did this and make them pay."

Michael's POV

The tension in the basement was palpable as we stood around Natalie's lifeless body, each of us grappling with our own thoughts and emotions. As I looked around at my friends, I couldn't shake the feeling of unease that hung in the air like a thick fog.

"We need to figure out what happened here," Lisa's voice broke the silence, her tone filled with determination. "We can't let whoever did this get away with it."
