Chapter 13 - The Facility

Everest POV

I took Chase back to the group to explain everything that happen through the past weeks. Once we made it back I decided to come clean and told everyone the truth about Marshall being the werewolf. They were all shocked and terrified about this and as sad that I have been hiding this from them for so long in order for me to keep Marshall safe. I didn't want anything bad to happen to him. They all had a very sad look on there faces and I begin to feel so upset at myself for lying to them for this long.

Skye: Are you serious?

Rubble: So this hole time, the werewolf that attacked Adventure Bay and what we just fought... was Marshall?!

Everest: (sigh) Yes...

Zuma: Wow I should've known something was fishy when you both were acting strange around us!

Ryder: Everest... why?

Everest: Look I'm sorry! It's just that Marshall was so afraid to tell you all because he was so scared that you all will kick him out from the paw patrol for being a monster, Me and Tracker kept are trust to make sure we wouldn't tell any of you till we can try and find a cure for his curse, and now Ryder came by and thought Marshall was trying to eat me but he wasn't we were just playing, I'm sorry... I'm really sorry!

I begin to develop tears from my eyes. I didn't want them to do anything harm to Marshall. I look up and see that they all had a shocked frown on there faces from everything that I said.

Chase: So that hole time... I was fighting Marshall? (Falls to his hindlimb)

Rubble: I can't believe this... that's why you both were so scared to go to camp with us!

Zuma: And also been avoiding us!

Rocky: And lied to us!

Everest: (sniff) I'm sorry...

Chase: I can't believe this!

Skye: Guys Guys come on I know they both been lying to us but they were trying to keep us safe!

I was surprised front what Skye had said but then Chase had a angry frown on his face. And walked up to her.

Chase: Keep us safe? Marshall has lied to me, he lied to all of us Skye!

Skye: (Looks at Chase with a frown) but if you were a werewolf Chase would you do the same thing?

That question got Chase silent for a few seconds and he lowered his ears down possibly thinking that was a good point from what she just said.

Ryder: Listen pups Skye is right we shouldn't be upset about this even if they have lied to us they didn't have a choice they were looking after Marshall.

I look at Ryder with a smile and looks down at me lowers down to his left knee to my height to talk to me.

Ryder: Everest we will never ever do that Marshall your saying the impossible thing we would ever think of.

Everest: H-He just wanted you guys to be safe from him.

Ryder: Yes because he's dangerous I know but he's still our friend.

Skye: Yeah Everest it's hard to get rid of someone you loved. And we all still love him.

Everest: Y-You guys still love him after everything he did back in Adventure Bay?

Ryder: (sniff) Yes and it hurts us to hear the truth about this. But if you'd told us this sooner the attack with Katie could of been avoided.

Everest: (sniff) I know... I'm sorry.
