The winter holiday passed in a blur of laughter and stolen moments. Harry and Draco found solace in each other's company, their bond growing stronger with each passing day. As January approached, whispers of upcoming exams and responsibilities echoed through Hogwarts.
One evening, as they sat by the Gryffindor common room fire, Harry turned to Draco with a serious expression. "Draco, there's something I need to tell you."
Draco's eyes met Harry's, concern flickering in their depths. "What is it?"
Taking a deep breath, Harry spoke softly. "I've been offered a position with the Auror office after graduation. It's what I've always wanted, but it means I'll be stationed in London."
Draco's heart skipped a beat, his hand finding Harry's and squeezing it gently. "London... That's a distance from here."
Harry nodded, his gaze never leaving Draco's. "I want us to make this work, Draco. I can't imagine my future without you in it."
A smile tugged at Draco's lips, his eyes shimmering with unshed emotions. "We'll make it work, Harry. I'll visit you, and you can come here during breaks. Our love can withstand any distance."
They sealed their promise with a kiss, their hearts intertwined with unspoken vows.
