I shove the door open to the coffee shop I frequently join Malory at and immediately notice her at our usual table with papers laid over it.

"Hey-" I smile as I sit across from her.

"You're late again." She groans. "Tell Ski-Mask to keep it in his pants when we have plans." She teases.

"I wasn't screwing him-" I scoff as I lean onto my hand.  "He made breakfast and I felt bad not eating it."

"Woah woah- sounds serious." She smiles devilishly.

"It's not."

After dinner with my parents last weekend, we didn't have sex- we just went to bed.

It was a different experience for both of us.

Last night was my first night back at his place and things went as they usually do, then I woke up to him making us breakfast burritos.

"You really need to let me meet him, Fal." She pouts. "Even though you aren't serious, you've been seeing him a lot! I, as your sister and best friend, deserve to at least be introduced to the guy."

"No, Malory." I hum for the millionth time.

"I'm getting him a wedding invitation." She says sternly. "There's no way you aren't inviting him."

I shake my head as I look down at her papers.

"Seating arrangements, right?" I study the tables.

"For the ceremony-" She points to one of the large papers and then to another. "For the reception."

I read over each table, curious where some of our friends and family will be.

"So, Nicholas and I will be here obviously- you'll be next to me as my maid of honor and Noah with him as best man..." She points. "Mum and dad are at the family table with Cassandra and Maverick... the other bridesmaids over here and their guests- the groomsmen- yadda yadda."

"No kids are coming, right?"

"No, we want it to be more personal- don't want to worry about extra food and drinks and seating- and screaming." She chuckles.

I feel my stomach grumble, not having eaten dinner last night.

"Do you mind if I go order something?" I ask.

"Go ahead- I'll clean these up so we can eat." She smiles widely. "Can you get me a maple chicken croissant and my usual coffee?"

"Yeah." I nod as I pull out my wallet and walk away to the counter.

I wait behind one other person and then step up, ordering for both me and Malory before getting the food and drinks and bringing it back to our table.

"Oh my god it smells so good-" She squeals as I pass her the croissant and her coffee.

"I have some mixing later-" I remind her as I sit back down and take out my own croissant.

"Oh yeah," She hums with a mouthful of food. "Just with Noah, right?"

"Jolly said he wanted to join us, but I don't know for sure." I shrug. "We've been getting a lot done."

"That's great, sissy! I wish I could hear more of it."

"We're trying to just get it where we want it- and it's just better when we don't share it during the process."

"I know, I know." She pouts.

We have our breakfast, she tells me as much as she legally can about work and I drink my entire coffee as quickly as I can.

"I might be scheduling with a new client soon, it just depends on what times they'd be able to come in-" She stops as she looks at my cup. "Wait a minute-"
